The two moments -- Pike's "It's Me!" moment closely followed by Vax's "Thordak!" death blow were both so astounding and grand. It's a season and a half of build up that led to such a season defining battle and episode and the payoff was so worth it. There's still one more dragon to deal with -- the Diseased Deceiver. Critical Role loves their Avatar the Last Airbender Easter eggs. They intentionally animated Raishan's Blight spell on Keyleth in a similar manner to Zaheer's signature death move used on Korra.

2025-12-22 03:49:23 +0000 UTCOne cool thing about Scanlan, is that it was Sam's first DND character. He asked Matt what the worst species/class combo was, and Matt told him gnome/bard. Even more fun than that, Scanlan's characterization is supposed to heavily inspired by Eminem!
