This episode had me reeling when I first watched it. It is among my favorite Supernatural episodes and watching it with you guys brought back the memories of the jaw dropping shock I felt realizing she was a ghost as well.

After that reveal Dean calling Sam Haley Joel during the episode was a nice nod to The Sixth Sense. At least she was able to find peace in the end. Absolutely loved your reaction 🖤

I love that this show can come off of the funniest episode so far to one of deepest is amazing. This season is full of bangers, it’s one of the best of the series can’t wait to see your reaction to this season finale!

2025-12-29 06:33:27 +0000 UTCReally interesting framing for this episode. It’s not often that we get an episode of the show that isn’t strictly from Sam and Dean’s perspective. Not unlike The Sixth Sense, you can guess the twist if you’re paying attention, but the biggest clue is the way that both brothers treat Molly throughout the episode. Sam is unusually morose, almost pitying, whereas Dean is outright cold to Molly and takes every opportunity he can to get away from her while they’re working the case. (I don’t love that he’s resistant to cutting down the old woman’s corpse and giving her a proper burial, however, even though they were working with limited time. Seems a little out of character, tbh.)

2025-12-28 16:45:54 +0000 UTCThe first time I watched this episode, I didn't get it either. I never thought she was a ghost until the big reveal. Great episode though. But then all the episodes are fantastic because they star Sam and Dean. :)

2025-12-28 13:10:59 +0000 UTCThis episode takes us back to 2x1 when Dean had the conversation with the Reaper (Tessa). She explained all of this to him, how it works - how if a ghost refuses to move on when it's their time, they will slowly succumb to madness and become violent and angry. That would have eventually happened to Molly if she hadn't moved on at the end of the episode. And it could have happened to Dean at the beginning of the season if not for John's deal with the yellow eyed demon :(
