I have had a few more requests for more images of Jordan. I know some of you have your favourites and would probably prefer me just to post images of them, but I have to try to keep everyone happy. However, if you do have a favourite out of the models I have shot with and you've not seen me post any images of her for a while, then please feel free to send me a message.
This is the first part of what Jordan and I are calling our "third time lucky" set. I had had a two day shoot with another model, and had poured a lot of time and effort into preparing outfit items, etc for that. Once the model had left I checked my calendar and realised I was shooting with Jordan just a few days later. At that point we only had one very loose idea ("curlers in hair"), and I asked Jordan if she had any more ideas. Her reply was that she was always up for a clown shoot. This did not excite me at all.
However, two days later I suddenly had an idea that I thought would make the clown theme work in my style... it has to be a washed out, tragic, shit clown! Suddenly my brain was buzzing with ideas. Come shoot day we got a bit carried away wit the curlers shoot and time whizzed by, so we agreed to book another shoot date in for the clown shoot. This was entirely the right thing to do - we had got so excited about my "crappy clown" concept but had not put any time into preparing for it, and now we had that time.
Soooo... come shoot day I got in my car to go pick up Jordan and it wouldn't start at all. The RAC said they would be between two and five hours getting to me, so I called Jordan and cancelled. AN hour later, the RAC man is there and my car is sorted (new battery required), and with Jordan still being free the shoot was back on, and I went to collect her.
And there we are, sat in my kitchen whilst Jordan does her clown makeup. She has just completed the white base layer when she runs off a series of expletives because she has forgotten to pack her eye shadow palette (she had been halfway through packing when I called to cancel and in the ned this got missed out when the shoot was back on). She felt she could still create a clown face but it wouldn't be anywhere near as good. And so we decided to postpone again, and instead spent the time planning the shoot - practising making balloon animals, Jordan trying on the outfits I had bought (and loads of others I have in my collection), and working out if we needed anything else for the shoot.
Having the luxury of sitting down with a model for a couple of hours just to plan a shoot is something I've never done before. Most planning is done by me, or by messaging backwards and forwards on WhatsApp, because a lot of the models live some distance away and we want to maximise our shooting time when they are here. And I feel the images are so much better because we were disciplined and didn't force the shoot when we weren't fully ready or equipped.
