I've had a good few shoots with Jorja over the past few years, but only two have them have been in the studio, as Jorja lives some way from me and in the middle of the countryside. However, more recently she has found travelling to be easier, and so we recently had our second shoot in my studio space.
Prior to the shoot Jorja had expressed an interest in creating a set inspired by some illustrations by Rebeca Fleur, and I thought it would fit nicely with the high contrast style I have shot with a couple of other models recently. It was also important to us both that these images were not over-retouched. Jorja has significant stretchmarks, and some photographers have removed these completely. Jorja is happy for them to do so, but also feels that those heavily smoothed images do not truly represent her body as it is.
