Photoset - Black & White Nudes on Location

On the run up to my most recent shoot with the fabulous Megan, I spent a fair amount of time driving around scouting for locations. Most of them were places I had been to before, but not for several years, and I wanted to check that they would all still be suitable for a shoot.

One such place is a working airfield, which also has two abandoned runways that are now areas that are open to the public for walking, skating, etc. As I was walking to these tarmac areas I spotted this small area where there had obviously been a wild fire at some point. It must have been fairly localised as the spot wasn't particularly big at all, but in that spot there were a number of blackened trees. I thought it would be a great spot for a nude shoot, especially as Megan has such a pale complexion. But... it was right next to a footpath that is one of the main routes to the old runways!

On shoot day, as meg and I passed it on the way to the runways, I pointed it out and she agreed that it would be a great location to shoot. However, our main focus was to be fashion, so we passed on by. We spent a couple of hours shooting fashion, and then the weather started to change and we felt a few drops of rain, so we packed up my gear and started back to the car. However, as we passed the burnt trees spot we looked at each other and decided "F*ck it! Let's do it!" The fact that it was now raining and therefore (hopefully) less passers by was probably what decided it for us.

I've just looked at the time stamps on these images, and they were all taken within three minutes, from first to last. Add on time for Meg to disrobe and get dressed again, and we were probably in and out of that spot in less than five minutes 😂

I have been putting a lot of time into developing my black and white editing recently, and felt that my "usual" style of black and white would do these images a disservice. we are really happy with the results - I hope you like them too!
