Not seen this since i was about 20 just after it came out! I liked it back then but I was too young and clueless to properly appreciate how good it is like I can now! I remembered it was the Akira director and that at the time I was disappointed it didnt blow me away like Akira did.

2022-09-06 13:07:14 +0000 UTCWell that was fun :-) From 1991! I knew as soon as I saw those CRT monitors that it was old, but the mention of 5th generation computers nailed it. Also, loved the old guys with their floppy disks and ALGOL programs. The animation was surprisingly good, and the story quite amusing. Depressing underlying theme though - trying to keep the poor old guy alive despite any reasonable quality of life. Just take him to the beach and let him die - poor sod.
