Long before Critical Role, Lodoss War was the first multi-media empire based on a home D&D game! Heck, when the writers of Lodoss War tried to make modules, the lack of polyhedral Dice in Japan forced them to make up a whole new system based on 2D6. Influencing EVERY fantasy anime since, Lodoss War OVA, to me, is must experience!
