I can't spoil it for you, of course. I can tell you that it is a show that does polarize people. Discussing serious topics like racism--both overt and systemic--is not going to win you friends in 2022 America. 86 does not shy away from it. 86 is a show that has two major genres driving it and fans of those genres don't always get what they want out of it. The show is very much its own mix of the two and travels its own road at its own pace. The light novel and anime are very interested in the psychology of why its characters are what they are and how the trauma of what the Republic of San Magnolia has done has affected them. Finally, the 23 episodes of season 1 span the first three light novels. There is a great deal more content to cover should the production team decide on additional seasons. The novel series is ongoing and has passed the ten book mark.
