Gundam 20 Early Access

I agree but I guess the sama honorific is often translated as lord/lady depending on the time period of the show. How do you express the difference between sama and hime in English..? 🤔

This episode really reminds me of the first part of End of Evangelion with Seele storming the Geofront. Also, I am always bothered by "hime" in all anime being rendered as "princess". I feel like it should really just be "lady". Princess feels like it implies too strongly that said character is literal royalty and the daughter of a monarch. Whereas "hime" just implies that said character is just high status.

Spoilers! Watch the episode first . . . I wrote something out about Bright's conversation but now I am rethinking it. Amuro's emotional arc is now centered around proving that his success is his own strength, not the Gundam's. Now contrast that with what Bright is admitting here. While Amuro was gone Bright confidence faltered because Bright's strength is not entirely his own. His strength is how he can summon the strength of the people he commands. Here he recognizes that he places way more value in Amuro than other members of the crew. So far Amuro's prowess in the Gundam has been a constant, or at least consistent enough to ensure victory. There’s definitely more there but I'm not sure how to word it. Trying to kill them as a suicide bomber doesn't fit Ramba Ral's sense of honor/code. At this point he is injured, all his men are dead and he lost his gun when Ryu fired at him. I'm just gonna guess that he was taking an "honorable death" by taking his own life with the only thing he was armed with, a grenade/bomb?
