Very spot on with the topic of things we want but can't have. I like how the central story is framed by scenes with the recurring characters who also have this side to them, just to add a bit more flavour to the theme. Tanyuu can't go out and travel and experience the big worl, like she wants to. And Adashino cannot see the mushi, it's played for light-hearted comedy, but it means he can't experience the magic of the world that is fascinating. And then there's Ginko himself, who never can stay and have a home.
