I will just ignore this episode and most of the Frill plot and just keep the story of the 4 girls in my memory. In that view I can look back with a good feeling as the show was really good and artistic interesting until they went berserk. But yeah I would not recommend this and I would have not voted for it if I had knew this. I just watched 3 episodes and I thought wow thats the shit for Tee. So I am sorry I was part of the crowd that made you watch this. It should have been obvious even from the released episodes that this would never been able to be resolved in just an extra. This should have been a second season with the Ai story as good wrap up for the first one.

Yeah, would be a nice fit with the KyoAni slot on Sunday, as you will finish Haruhi soon. For the Wednesday slot other anime would be better as this would fit with the general theme of Wednesday.

i really hope sawaki's comment about koito is a possible indicator of his ambiguity and unreliability. otherwise if it's meant to be taken at face value it really adds nothing and is a flop of a conclusion wrt to Koito' story at best, and feeding into the narrative and trope of the vindictive girl who frames men and predatory at worst (and in a show about believing and sympathizing about the suffering of young girls, seems really disconnected from the cultural baggage this implication has).

i have completely lost faith in both shinji nojima as an anime scriptwriter, and in cloverworks as a studio. cloverworks clearly has no respect for its animators, given that they were only given 3 weeks to churn out this special (according to animator evakoi on the wondereggpriority subreddit) + everything else; nor do they have any respect for artistic integrity. it's truly disappointing to see a director as talented as wakabayashi having his work sabotaged like this.
