^There were no prices with those cards- they might of just been a display/advertising. But even if they WERE selling cards from opened packs AKKO couldnt afford them as such a young kid- so you could still make the metaphore that SHE could not buy 'a believing heart'- it was out of her reach.

The one card that represents the shows core message is the one she couldnt get.. Is that because a believing heart isnt something you can just buy?

2021-02-13 09:40:42 +0000 UTCI hate the merchendising in some shows too- but for slightly different reasons.. Have you noticed in s1 of precure there isnt really any sign of it? I think they didnt really realise the potential yet lol. And in the other early seasons it doesnt stand out TOO much, but the more seasons passed, the MORE obvious it got? THAT is what annoys me- that the merchandising is negatively impacting some shows (not this anime). Like in precure- their sticks, and wierd castles and makeup sets etc actually started to look like cheap plastic tat so they look closer to the toys- and they no longer look like cool believable magic items! I cant help think- why does this super powerful save the world item look like cheap plastic crap!
