DO MASKS DO WHAT WE THINK THEY DO IN C-19?

When you watch the video above what thoughts are you left with?

Do you believe the narrative that is pushed with words, or did you pay close attention to the results you saw about particle spread in the computer test?

Do you believe they were equivalent?

Are Public Health experts now using the wearing of masks as a con man would use on the public playing three card monte?

Just being a master of public health expert, with a degree, (MPH) does not imply you are wise.  Intellect does not equal wisdom.

In the USA, OSHA controls the government regulations on what masks can and cannot do for employees.  What do their rules say?  Are they equivalent to what you've been force fed by the MPH ?

OSHA certification is an official certificate of competency issued in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 and represents the achievement of outcomes stipulated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.  Many jobs require an OSHA card before you can talk to employees about wearing of MASKS during employment.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Outreach Training Program's requires 10-hour and 30-hour safety courses.

I know many people who are OSHA 10 and 30 certified. I know some of you might be too reading this.

I don’t really know WHY OSHA hasn’t come forward and stopped the nonsense of mandatory mask wearing for employment but these three facts need to be considered.

• N95 masks and masks with exhale ports
• surgical masks
• filter or cloth masks

ARE THEY ALL EQUIVALENT?

No they are not.

If you dig deeper, OSHA says some masks are acceptable and some are not in certain situations.   What are those conditions?

If you’re working with fumes and aerosol chemicals and you give your employees the wrong masks and they get sick you can be sued.

• N95 masks: are designed for CONTAMINATED environments. That means when you exhale through N95 the design is that you are exhaling into contamination. The exhale from N95 masks are vented to breath straight out without filtration. They don’t filter the air on the way out. They filter it on the way in.  They don’t need to.  This means this mask does nothing to stop spread to others.  It protects you in a region where there is micron level contamination.  Is C-19 a contaminate at the micron level?  Do you know?

Conclusions: if you’re in Home Depot and a person with C-19 has N95 mask his covid breath is unfiltered being exhaled into Home Depot’s air space (because it was designed for already contaminated environments, it’s not filtering your air on the way out)

• Surgical Mask: these masks were designed and approved for STERILE environments in operating rooms.  I use them all the time. The amount of particles and contaminants in the outside and indoor environments where people are CLOG these masks very quickly. This is why they are changed often.  The moisture from your breath combined with the clogged mask with render it “useless” IF you come in contact with C-19 viral particles because this mask also blocks at the micron level.  Moreover, if the mask gets wet from breathing long periods of time you become a walking virus dispenser.  Everytime you put your mask on you are breathing the germs from EVERYWHERE you went. These masks are made for people standing at an operating table and not moving until they are done.  They should be changed or thrown out every “20-30 minutes in a non sterile environment” according to OSHA.  Have you heard that from anyone in the MEDIA?  On #medtwitter?

Cloth masks: today three people pointed to their masks as the walked by entering a store I was at.  I had no mask on. They said “Sir, you should be wearing a mask”.   I do not wear a mask without proper reasoning. I said very clearly “those masks you have one don’t work because of particle size of C-19, in fact they MAKE you higher risk for illness.

By now hopefully you all know CLOTH masks do not filter anything because of particle size.

You mean the American flag one my aunt made for me is worthless? Yes, it is.  When you where a mask like this it shows you're OK being silenced by pseudoscience and people who are trying to alter your behavior to control you.

In fact on June 18th, 2020 what has California said on Twitter?  California will now require most of its nearly 40 million people to wear face coverings both inside and outside, when physical distancing is not possible.  HUH?

The one with sunflowers that looks so cute? Yes. The bandanna, the cut up t-shirt, the scarf ALL of them offer NO FILTERING whatsoever. As you exhale you are ridding your lungs of contaminants and carbon dioxide. Cloth masks trap this carbon dioxide the best. It actually increases risks to you health according to PEER reviewed science that OSHA offers in the courses. The moisture caught in these masks can become mildew ridden over night. Dry coughing, enhanced allergies, sore throat are all symptoms of a micro-mold in your mask.

TRUTH BOMB: N95 masks allows you to blow the virus into the air from a contaminated person as the video showed above.  But the researcher in the video never said that is what it was doing.  You'd have to know by watching carefully.

The surgical mask is not designed for the outside world and will not filter the virus upon inhaling through it. It’s filtration works on the exhale. (Like a vacuum bag it only works one way)

Cloth masks are WORSE than none.

The CDC wants us to keep wearing masks, yet the masks don’t work according to OSHA.

You can, wash your hands. Sanitize your hands. Don’t touch stuff. Wash your phone. Don’t touch people. And keep your distance. Why? Because your breath stinks, your deodorant is failing, your shoes are old and stink, that shirts not clean, I like my space. Trust me I can hear you from here. Lots of reasons. But trust me, OSHA is right, the masks do not work to prevent C-19 spread in healthy populations.

WHO ARE THEY?

The top American organization for safety.

They regulate and educate asbestos workers, surgical rooms, you name it.

If your mask gives you security wear it,  just know it is a false sense of security.

If stores stopped enforcing it no one would continue this nonsense.  Your employer might push you to do it until somebody throws an OSHA manual up at them and educates them.

When you are in an environment where healthy people dominate, you do not need a mask.  When you visit your elderly family at the nursing home or hospital then wearing a mask makes sense.

In mammals, hypercapnia IS CAPABLE of suppressing immune function through its inhibition of the NFκB pathway and this can set you up for higher infection risks.  Do you still think the CDC/NIH/WHO has your best interests at heart on this topic?

OR MIGHT OSHA be the one government agency who got it right it about masks?

You decide.  Do not let politicians or your employers decide for you.

WHAT IS THE SCIENCE AROUND C-19 and masks?

SUMMARY

Do the math for yourself: 1000 nanometers in 1 micron.

Viruses are measured in nanometers.

Masks filter at the level of microns.

Saying that a mask prevents C-19 is an epic fail.

Mandating mask wearing is now a form of tyranny.

DO MASKS DO WHAT WE THINK THEY DO IN C-19?

Comments

I have been going on about this on twitter for a while now... I don't own a mask and won't wear a mask. If you don't mind me saying so go,watch the documentary Plandemic on the Brian Rose Digital, freedom platform.

Giovanna

Yeah...

Jack, I work in a nursing home and am mandated to wear a surgical mask all day. I have developed a new onset of facial numbness, from my forehead to my chin. I’m sure it’s related to the mask wearing, but can you think of a medical explanation for this? It’s got me baffled. It diminishes on Saturday and is gone by Sunday, but returns again Monday. I’m thinking some nerve is being compressed? Any ideas? Thanks!

Lori Moyer

So it only makes sense to wear a surgical mask when we are visiting elderly or around at risk patients? And if we reuse it, it’s essentially useless?

I would love to hear your thoughts on this.... all about transmission thru air by a Professor of Atmospheric Chemistry at UCSD. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PU8Hf_5-oLc&feature=share&fbclid=IwAR0qsSO9dbX3MQY8sW9o6LMdaOzp1Ll6E2jLZX7sGdZKtEz_EqjZS9DjOlM

Hi Jack, great post on C19 and face masks...totally agree with you on SARs virus nm particle size and crazy cloth mask protection for anyone near to someone asymptomatic wearing a mask. OSHA advice make great sense for advice on aerosol transmission ...where are they when the US public need them.? C19 aerosol stability and viability is interesting... A few studies are circulating on the net....It seems C19 is still viable @95% after 24hrs on most surfaces and TCID50 viability upto 72 hrs on cardboard surfaces according to New England Journal of Medicine study and published review on March 25...Perhaps, CDC should be telling everyone this virus will be potentially everywhere inside and on everything unless its sterilised...or unless efforts are made to improve individual Vitamin D amongst other things, as you recently posted.. To my disbelief, I have finally convinced my 89 YO lounge lizard mother to spend at 30minutes every day out on the porch, enjoying the fresh air, the view and sunlight...and getting her Vitamin D up... its also improved her grumpy indoor TV disposition and lost karma....love your work, Jack

A bit confused here. Can you point me to where I can learn more? Have done a lot of searching and all I can find is that the virus must hitch a ride on mucous and can't travel by itself.

Nancy Buono

it would be wise

More citations on this subject at the end of this article. Found the article interesting, too.

I would think not! N95 will filter the mask-wearer's air against micron sized contaminants and NOT the nanometer-sized viral world. N95 does NOT filter the wearer's exhaled air AT ALL, so the ER or nursing home would be FULLY exposed to the wearer and the wearer would be protected from micron sized stuff, still exposed to viruses, and also would resorb her/his own exhaled toxins. (If I'm reading all this right, of course).

Charmane Vaianisi

The study you've cited here gives me pause in several different places. It mentions several times "anticipation of pandemics." That's certainly not necessarily a bad thing, but it keeps repeating in the "Results" section that even though we don't have much information on how well masks work, they seem to help as part of a prevention protocol, but studies are tricky to do and interpret, and we'll still be recommending them even though we don't know." My cat wouldn't wear a mask, and he's made it to 17. I've learned to ask, "What would my cat do?" in many situations. He was a stray who would not stay indoors, would only taste a vegan cat food his best friend stray cat would gobble, and would disappear for months at a time (I gave him up for dead more than once). He has healed broken ribs and subsequently a displaced liver; never knew it happened until a vet noticed through palpation during an office visit). I'm convinced his attitude and instincts are quintessential, as far as cats go... I only wear a mask when someone I care about asks me to. I've got a disposable surgical mask I've worn all through these covid crazies (only when asked to wear it; that's been 3xs so far). I do not expect it to do anything against any microbes at all, and I do expect it's contaminating everyone's air because it has not been cleaned in any way (just wrapped in a paper towel and kept in my backpack). It's temporary. Makes the other person relax for some reason beyond me. I'll likely survive wearing it "just for now." Back in the backpack pocket it goes. I try very hard not to go anywhere that "requires" mask-wearing. So thankful my job (in childcare and kindergarten teaching) does not require it, and only one employee wears one, but she mostly does cleaning and stays away from the rest of us, so the children hardly see her (of course, they've seen plenty of masks outside of school).

Charmane Vaianisi

I believe Kruse is saying the surgical mask would be the best. You're only visiting temporarily, and it does guard others from your breath considerably, although not perfectly (as it guards a patient from the breath of the surgeon and assistants). The N-95 would only protect its wearer from micron contaminants in the surrounding environment, but viruses are teenier (nanometers: 1000 of them in 1 micron). So the mask-wearer would still inhale the nanometer-sized viruses. Plus, the N-95 mask does not filter exhalation at all, so the nursing home or hospital would get the mask-wearers full and unfiltered exhalation. Cloth does nothing to stop viruses. All three limit the wearer's access to normal healthy respiration and "communication" with the outside/air.

Charmane Vaianisi

Fair, but would not wearing a mask in hi risk environments cut down on total exposure - I am not disagreeing that at nano level some will get through, but viral load would be less than no mask at all.

Milk & Honey

and with eye protection as well?

randolph

If you are in a high risk environment, like a ER or nursing home, should a person be wearing a N95 mask with a surgical mask.

randolph

no

Understood!

Need some clarification please. Doesn't virus need something to travel on, like a sneeze or spit?

Nancy Buono

It's getting harder and harder to fight this - they own the media - my family is drinking the Kool-aid - honestly it is rather depressing - did you see that deagle.com/country prediction where in 2017 the U.S. population was 327 million and in 2025 it is expected to be 100 million? It's a military website...

Penelope Pappas

I just stick a bandana on under my nose, and breathe normally - most people don't even notice - and if they require a mask, like Costco, I don't shop there - but now we are screwed in CA because of our tyranical leader who needs desparately to be recalled - if anyone knows where that website is I'm all ears... the bank was funny - needed a mask until you got to the window, then they said take it down for ID purposes - then at restaurants you don't have to have one but the people serving you do - obviously this has nothing to do with health - go Orange County:-) They are the most rebellious of all of us :-)

Penelope Pappas

Scientism is not about science it is about the propaganda the paradigm wants to shove down your throat and they hope you are not discerning. This is why I decided to post my views for my tribe behind the pay wall.

Dr. Jack Kruse

What does science find about the use of masks? Here is a meta-analysis: "None of the studies established a conclusive relationship between mask/respirator use and prevention of influenza transmission." FB fact-checkers want to fact check a PEER reviewed the article and tell us it is wrong? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5779801/

Dr. Jack Kruse

I cannot because of the medical social media climate.

Dr. Jack Kruse

I'd love the ability to share too. How is that possible - even part of the information? And, when you recommend to wear a mask when visiting nursing homes or hospitals, which type do you reccomend? Thanks

Barbara Rabin

This is important, thanks for writing this article. I wish I could share it more broadly, are you going to post this up on Facebook in the near future?
