Tablet Update (or non-update, haha)

Well, I'm still waiting on the cables... according to tracking they should be here some time next week. Unfortunately the only place to get them is directly from Wacom and they are always slooooowwww.... despite being across the river from my house...
Anyway, I really appreciate your patience and I hope you have been enjoying the traditional art in the meantime! I am really itchin' to get back to regular work but it's gonna be a little longer. :(
But this whole experience does make me realize that I really need to look into some other options. This has happened a few times now and it's just not feasible to keep dealing with this tablet in the future. Verzi sent me a link to a really nice looking Huion tablet that I think I'm going to try out soon. I just need to see if I can get some things working on my laptop, which is old and the OS is out of date. Last time I tried to upgrade, it made my art programs unusable but it has been a long time since I tried. Once I get my tablet working again, I'm gonna try to upgrade again (I need the tablet so I can test if the art programs are working correctly). If I'm able to successfully get the OS upgraded, I'll go ahead and get the new tablet so I can stop with this nonsense Cintiq and it's broken ass cables...
If I can't upgrade the OS, I'll still try the new tablet anyway and see if maybe it'll just work with the old OS. Or I'll start looking into getting a new laptop sometime this year (it's about time anyway).
So that's where I'm at! Hopefully everything goes smoothly and I can get back to giving you all proper color drawings again soon! Thanks so much for hanging in there, I really appreciate your support! ^_^
