Sensitive House Husband

I was talking to someone recently regarding my Karabita AU and brought up the subject of Chibita and Karamatsu's future. Presently they aren't "together", I've been writing Karamatsu oblivious to Chibita's advances so what's happening in their "relationship" currently is Chibita flirting and pining while Karamatsu thinks Chibita is "just being friendly" and "He does this with all of us!"

But assuming they get together in the future, I was thinking a bit about what their life might be like. One of the things I really like about this particular ship is how different in character these two are. Chibita has always had to make his own way in life and had to work hard to have what he has (he owns his own (albeit small) business and has his own apartment or house (not sure which) meanwhile Karamatsu has never really held a job, like his brothers he lacks any sort of ambition and his pretty lazy. Even when asked by Chibita what he was going to do about a job his response was that he has "no plans". Kara's been coddled by his parents all of his life so I can picture Karamatsu becoming Chibita's house husband. He mostly sits around the house playing his guitar, spends some time hanging out with his brothers, occasionally "helps out" at the oden cart (which mostly consists of him pretending to help but mostly just eating the food and sitting around, but Chibita enjoys his company). He probably claims that he's looking for a job but Chibita knows deep down while Kara probably thinks he's trying his best, his best isn't actually very good. But Chibita loves him an accepts that he'll most likely end up supporting Kara for the rest of their lives.

But I was also thinking about something Matsuyo said about Karamatsu at one time:

And this makes me think that while Kara is usually (at least pretending to be confident) that Chibita still finds him on the floor like this and "Karamatsu Reassurance" becomes a weekly task in their relationship for a while. I can imagine Kara being afraid that Chibita is going to realize he married a boy with no real ambitions and leave him. But Chibi wouldn't do that in this AU. He loves his Kara-Boy. ;)
