Sketch Dump May 2018

Good afternoon, $5+ patrons! I also have the sketch dump for May today, hope y'all like it! It's all Vincent stuff which isn't really a surprise I suppose, being Vin's birthday month and all.

Row 1: The basic 'story' I'd like to convey with Vincent's birthday drawings this year is that Ben has arranged a surprise party for Vincent. To frame the narrative I thought I'd illustrate a few pics either Ben or someone else has taken the night of the party, so this rough sketch is the start to what will be a shot of Vincent reacting to Ben after being surprised by his parents, friends and the Hoppers. I'm not sure how many of these drawings I'll be able to complete over the next month along with a couple other birthday things I'd like to get done, but hopefully it'll be something you enjoy. 

Row 2: Left: The preliminary sketch for this. Right: I was seeing a bunch of naga/human people on Tumblr last week and I couldn't resist drawing Vin with a snake body for absolutely no reason. He's already half skunk, it makes zero sense, haha.

Row 3: Left: The preliminary sketch for this. Right: A couple older sketches I found when I took out what I thought was a new unused sketchbook this week. I like the cutesy semi chibi drawing of Vincent, I think I may be able to ink and color this for a tee shirt or sticker design or something like that. In the third drawing in this row, I really enjoy Vin's hat. I think I may have him wearing it later in Episode 4.

Row 4: Left: Another older sketch I found in the sketchbook. I thought maybe I'd inked and colored this sketch at some point since it seemed familiar but if I did, I couldn't find it. It's possible I posted a pic of it once, but this is the first time it's been scanned. Right: Yet another gem I apparently forgot about in this sketchbook, just a chibi Vincent & Ben. This one has a lot of problems, but also some potential. I think I could fix a lot of it and have a really cute illustration, so I'll put it on the pile of things I'd like to ink and color once Vincent's birthday stuff is all done.

Row 5: Left: This is another birthday picture I'm planning to work on. Before the surprise party, Ben took Vincent out to dinner at a fancy restaurant just to get him out of the house. Knowing the portions at said restaurant were small, Ben figured this'd be a good bet so they wouldn't get filled up before the party Vincent didn't know about. Ben took a picture of him trying to hide his disappointment at the tiny sliver of lasagna the server brought him, haha. I hope I got the expression right! Right: Completely unrelated this is a sketch of Ben's coworker (who's name in the original story was Becca, a fact I forgot when naming Ben's sister so I may change her name) and her twin Tristan who has appeared as a background character in Episode 3. They have deer legs which I'm still trying to practice drawing, hence this sketch. :)
