TL:DR Tweaked 1 animation to get 4 vids. Vote how many is worth it.
For the past 55 days, I've done an animation experiment to get content to you all faster. The result was a 61.8% faster production rate. However, this is only a success if each video is enjoyable enough on it's own and is worth the faster rate of production.

I tool a single animation set and tried to get 4 viewing experiences that are different enough from each other that they are enjoyable and worth watching. I've done this by changing as much as I can between videos, including characters, environments, partial body positions, lighting, and camera angles. I did have some hiccups along the way, and some good learnings, but I wanted you all to let me know if this was a success.
Note that I had a mess up and did a color swap which I am ignoring for the calculations. Here’s a breakdown of the schedule:
2024.05.17 -- 2024.06.06 = 34 days - This is roughly the time it takes for a regular animation.
2024.06.09 -- 2024.06.19 = 10 days - had problems
Fixed and re-rendered = 6 days - re-do - not counting this
Izzy and a Second Professor - color swap
2024.06.20 -- 2024.06.22 = 2 days - not counting this
Speed comparison:
Normal speed. 52 days = 1.53 videos
61.8% faster speed. 52 days = 4 videos
Speed is great but this is only a success if each of these videos is worth it. Please vote to let me know if you think the speeds are worth it, or also leave a comment. Thank you.
Poll results from 66 total votes between Patreon and Suscribestar:
Only 1 version: 11.43%
2 versions seem good: 37.14%
3 versions seem good: 20.00%
4 versions seem good: 31.43%
Takeaways: 2 is safe, 3 or 4 if it's a more tangible difference like the bottom view or a popular character, or something that makes a bigger change.
