If this counts as a spoiler, let me know and I know you're like way past this episode already but I don't know if you've noticed but after what happened to the future Lucy, every time there is danger or something, natsu steps in front of lucy

XD They don't make this obvious, but if you remember Natsu said that future Lucy was lighter than the current Lucy and that's because she lost her right arm. That's why she wanted to see present Lucy's right hand (the one with the guild mark) as she no longer had hers. Also at one point future Lucy was writing in a book and she dropped it when running away and the person who picked it up said her hand writing was bad. Thats because she was forced to write with her left hand, which she wasn't used to.
