Lily saying "I like it! I will make this my weapon" can also be seen as a little throwback to when Gajeel said he liked Lily and wanted to make him his cat.

I didn't miss anything. when i went back to watch it was......... okay plus its super long. the next cannon arc is literally fire though so maybe that's why i think the filler arc is meh. the next 2 episodes are great can't wait to see your reaction!
