On Animations
Added 2025-07-15 02:31:13 +0000 UTCHi folks, I wanted to give an update about animations.
I will no longer be working on long 3D animations for the foreseeable future. They're not where my heart's at anymore, and it pains me to say it, but I don't enjoy making them at all. When one little thing breaks, I can't just reflim it, it messes with the entire animation. It causes long problem-solving hiatuses and endless frustration. To add insult to injury, I get messages all the time, and exit survey responses showing the same frustration for the slow pace of animations. And I can't blame them. Interdimensional Incompetence 2 part 3 is a mess, and will probably be released in some form, eventually, even as an unfinished thing. But right now, I'm setting it aside.
To be totally honest, I just feel like anything is a better solution than sitting around wondering what I'm going to do about all of that. Starting now, I want to shift back to short little animations that I find fun or cool. I think it's what I need to do in order to get things rolling again. And, at the very least, start posting something in the Magnifying Glass tier by August.
I do truly apologize for the mess animations have been for awhile now and I will have more to say about it soon. I also want to say that I appreciate everyone's patience up until now.

Thank you, that's high praise and I really appreciate it. For some projects, even just breaking them down into smaller parts could help make them more manageable. Mainly, I just need to change my approach and get things moving again, and like you say, maybe things will change again in the future. Thanks for the support, it means a lot.

You've always shown some creativity into them and you take your time to make it as perfect as possible and I respect that SO much. I even liked the recent Interdimensional animation, so it sucks most other people didn't. I just always appreciate hard work no matter what the outcome. If this is what's best for you and how you feel, go for it, who knows you can have a change of heart in the future, but I'll always stick with whatever decision you make, and ALWAYS enjoy any future animation you decide to make. π
