2026-02-13 05:41:28 +0000 UTCMy fav time of the week! We're mid-way through S1. I am absolutely loving the way you're thinking, Evie! Yes, It's most likely bodies. We have been given a lot of hints for this throughout the show. In E2, we see them (Zosia as well) transporting bodies in a dairy truck! Zosia saying they "prefer" to be vegeterian. In E4, we again see a dairy truck outside the hospital. Furthermore, this episode had a theme of "recycling", with the garbage and blue recycle bins, and respecting the dead. We spend a lot of time seeing Carol save the grave (body) of Helen from being eaten. And yet, the plurbs are presumably collecting, dumping, cutting off, and consuming bodies thereby disrespecting the lost ones and making them more alien. It is very human thing to respect our dead and lost loved ones. Even some higher intelligent animals grieve their dead making the plurbs less than that. Lastly, Carol sees some crows eating the powder. Crows are usually symbols of death and carrion crows famously consume dead meat. Having said all that, there was a delayed reaction from Carol. So, it has to be something not very apparent. Bones ? Parts of bodies ? Are they human or animals (pets) ? Where are all the kids and babies ? -- I dunno if you noticed it but Carol talks so much about being independent. And yet we always see her eating ready-to-eat meals (TV dinners) and for someone who isn't upset at them for leaving her, she called for their assistance a bunch of times this episode! We see the camera rest slightly on the novel "And Then There Were None", presumably what Helen was reading. It is a very popular murder mystery novel by Agatha Christie where everyone ends up dead in the end. Foreshadowing ? Will all our survivors end up being plurbed ? Some more Qs to think about: Why do you think the plurbs left Carol ? Do you think it's because she was really a danger to them ? Or because Carol got close to finding out how to cure the infected ?! In any case, they do seem to be evolving. Cameo: You got it! The voice on the recorded message is of Patrick Fabian (Howard Hamlin) from BCS. And yes answers (and more questions) are coming!
