So Tony dating women like his mother people he can't please. Carmela he don't please either . So I'm lost in figuring out psychologicaly why Tony sleeps with these women . He seems like a sex addict.

Him being pre med out the window when he hanging out with the mob . He was showing anger an red flags before he dated Meadow..

One of the main things I like about this season is the juxtaposition between Meadow's relationship with Noah at the beginning of the season and her relationship with Jackie Jr. in the second half of the season. Both of them end badly, but it's shown quite clearly which one of the boys was worse for Meadow and which relationship was better as well. Though Noah did genuinely like her throughout their relationship, towards the end he turned into a bit of a douchebag with how he broke up with her, pretty much sacrificing his relationship with Meadow for his ambition and the approval of his father. But then comes along Jackie Jr., who blows Noah completely out of the water. He is the type of guy Tony says and thinks Meadow should be with. Italian, not Black; their families are close friends; Meadow and Jackie even grew up together. Jackie from the offset is a complete douche; they make it a point to show us how stupid he is, he has no work ethic or ambition, he's a wannabe gangster to the point it's cringe, he lies and gaslights her all throughout the relationship, serially cheats on her, and is clearly more interested in using her as a status symbol and getting between her legs than actually being in a relationship with her. Tony also got to see through a different perspective, outside looking in, by watching Jackie: how horribly he himself treats Carmela. It's great writing.

IIRC, Pine Barrens is the highest rated episode of The Sopranos. Silvio was sick so Tony asked Paulie to go get the money. I think a few episodes ago, we saw that Carmela was concerned Meadow was going the same direction as herself esp. when she started dating Jackie. And in the past episode we saw more parallels with Jackie/Meadow; him cheating on her like Tony does with Carmela, buys jewellery and expensive gifts to make her (and himself) happy, and pretend everything's normal but keeps messing around regardless. Just like Tony. I'd like to think that Tony saw this as well and him beating Jackie was partly him beating himself. So, good for Meadow for going with her gut and breaking it off. She deserves better.
