So if Buck & Roger didn’t find him and send him back, then Roger would have died! Very time travel intertwined. (This is all in a side book called A Leaf in the Wind of All Hallows, about Jeremiah’s story. It has Frank Randall in it too, he is the MI6 officer who sends Jeremiah on the classified mission!) The reason his dad was never identified among the dead in the underground was because Roger still had his dog tags & there was no one to identify him.

Mackenzie for the mission was none other than Franklin W. Randall, Claire's Frank. Almost like another full circle closing.......
