I also enjoyed the mini focus on belief throughout. The Magistrate's belief on the value of his son, Fess's belief in his own value instead of his browbeating by his father, Simon's belief of the value of "civilized" behavior, Inara's belief about Mal and many other examples in the mudders etc. The writers wove it all in an entertaining mix.
