2024-09-04 18:12:10 +0000 UTC1. I love Pleasantville (1998). My top choice. A young Reese Witherspoon and Tobey Maguire (of Spiderman fame). Also, a nuanced performance by Jeff Daniels. 2. Dazed and Confused (1993) is awesome. My second choice. A modern classic. Matthew McConaughey's first big movie. Has a young Ben Affleck. Great soundtrack. 3. National Lampoon's Vacation (1981) is a classic. Chevy Chase. Hilarious. 4. I have nostalgia for Trading Places (1983). Eddie Murphy, Dan Aykroyd, and a 1980's shot of Jamie Lee Curtis. Comedy/Drama.
