This is a fun, enjoyable episode. π So, I'll start quick with the Rock, Paper, Scissors game you were confused by. π So, basically, Dean just never wins. Whenever you get a chance to do a rewatch, you'll notice that. He loses every time, because he always throws scissors, which Sam knows, so he throws rock. But this time, Dean started with rock, so it took Sam by surprise. And in the end Dean ended up winning, which made him exceedingly (adorably) happy. He was so happy in fact that he didn't even care that Sam took the upstairs anyway, which was what they were fighting for. He was just happy enough that he won, he didn't even need the prize. π Fun fact: The only other time Dean ever won was in the "alternate world" in 6x17, "My Heart Will Go On". (The world where Bobby is married to Ellen. π₯²) The fact that Dean won that time was meant as a hint to the audience that something wasn't right. π Anyway - on to the episode. It's a fairly cool MOTW, and it was an interesting little mystery, which I always enjoy with stand alone episodes. (Although, obviously this one ended up tying in with the seasonal plot.) I was also SO glad that Dean confided in Sam. It made me very happy to see him trusting Sam with the truth, and to see Sam supporting Dean and telling him it wasn't something he had any choice in. For someone like Dean, who doesn't trust his emotions at the best of times, who always needs to be in control of his decisions and of his life, it must feel VERY scary and incredibly frustrating that he can't control his emotions or his actions around her. As usual, he needs so many hugs. π© Great reaction - can't wait for the next! β€οΈ P.S. No - Dean most certainly does not have a "Dad Bod". π (Not that there's anything wrong with a Dad Bod, but that's not Dean.)
