Fun episode! Every time I rewatch it i change my mind on which is my favourite song of the episode! It seems celestials and humans aren't that different after all, despite some celestial advantages, as you said. I always thought that (in this Lucifer universe) God created the angels with the Goddess and this was his first attempt at creation. It then seems as if according to how Lucifer explained it in season 2, God spent less time concerned with the angels etc and started tinkering with a project he called humanity. As the story is loosely based on the Bible, which says God made humanity in his own image, I took that to mean the angels were the original pattern for humanity after all celestials and humans do not look dissimilar and work in similar ways (preternatural skills aside) although he gave humans mortality and heaven and hell. (I wonder why?) Maybe humanity has the edge because Luci feels he has come so close to finding something amazing in his connection with humanity, Chloe especially. but now his father is back all his old deeply hidden emotions of loss, abandonment, lack of purpose, lack of love and meaning in his long hopeless life are overwhelming him again. That last song from 'Les Mis' despite not being the first choice song, I thought turned out to be perfect at expressing so much. I also loved God's voice like thunder! Now, we can find out what is going on with God and his powers and hopefully how it all plays out may surprise you. It did me! (It will take a bit more time though) Lots of great stuff to come.

Are you sure you haven't watched this season already? Just kidding, but the last minute of your video when you speculate on what caused this loss of God's power might be prophetic! However we know that the intricate weaving of multiple story threads by these very talented writers... they might be tempted to weave in several layers of motivation for God loosing his powers..... There are some good lines everywhere in this series, here Linda had some with "Do ya smell what I'm cookin' ", and when she slapped the dirty diapers on Amenadiel's stomach and said "why don't you take this bag of shit and fly it to the garbage"....which he deserved by being kind of an ass... And that last song is from Les Miserables, and is quite famous. https://www.thewrap.com/lucifer-musical-episode-song-tom-ellis-god-dennis-haysbert-i-dreamed-a-dream-les-mis-cat-stevens-father-and-son/ Article describes how they wanted to use Cat Stevens "Father and Son" but were denied the rights, so Tom came up with using this one.
