2023-11-04 03:41:50 +0000 UTCIt was a very intense family dinner indeed and how cleverly done so we can forget Tom Ellis is playing the two characters. I really believed Michael and Lucifer were there together. I did think God was in a difficult position in that he created his angel family and as as with humanity gave them all free will. Maybe, as you suggested he wants them to work things out for themselves, to learn to grow and make their own choices. If he 'gives' them what they ask for then maybe he would see it as exercising control, interfering and taking free will away? As you said that must be his position on things but the question is... has it always been the right position to take- to create the angels, give them power over themselves, free will and then stand back regardless of whether they stand or fall? Welcome to season 5B, my favourite and prepare for more questions as the story plays out.
