What did you think of this episode??

This has to be one of the best reactions to the season 5A finale that i have seen. Your face at the end of the episode was everything! It was a spectacular episode with so much going on. Okay, so now, God is here- on earth and after all this time Luci will finally have to face his deepest, most hurtful and darkest emotions concerning his feelings about his father. He will have chance maybe to come to terms with his guilt, lack of self worth, abandonment issues that have clouded every part of his long life and his attempts at understanding and coping with emotions he had kept buried for millennia. How will this play out? I hope you will be amazed, shocked and surprised by all that is to come. We also know about Michael's bigger plan- is this it, to bring down God from heaven? Has Michael got what he wanted or is there more? After all he did say- 'spoiler alert, it is going to be epic'. Our favourite characters, I think, all seem now to be in a bad place... Maze, conflicted, confused and surely wrong to put her trust in a liar like Michael? Maybe, maybe not! Ella is in a worse place, I think after Pete, lied, manipulated, deceived and tried to kill her. Poor poor Ella for this isn't fair and Ella Lopez deserves the world and look where she is now! I worry for her, going forward for how do you cope with something as dreadful as her experience. What do you think? It looks like Amenadiel is in a bad place, worried about Charlie's mortality and what that might mean. Chloe is definitely in a bad place with her fears filling her head and insecurities encompassing her after falling prey to Michael's destructive and fear bringing manipulations. So much is going wrong. Now think about us Lucifans who after watching this episode, eager for season 5B episodes 9-16 and the answers we hoped we would get, found ourselves having to wait over a year for episode 9 to come as Covid reared it's troubled head and shut down completely the filming of the end of season 5B for months! God might have arrived on earth but Lucifans were in Hell! However, 5B was in the end worth the wait but lucky you- who can carry on next week and enjoy the craziest ride yet! I can't wait to watch your reactions.

Ha, it's only one of the craziest episodes so far! Fear really can mess with your perception can't it? Fact is Lucifer already expressed his genuine love for Chloe, when he spread his wings and flew back to hell - he said "we were wrong about the prophecy, Eve was never my first love, it is you Chloe". But the fear blinded everyone from this, characters and audience alike. And fear also blinded Amenadiel from the reality that even if his son is mortal, when he dies his being/soul will go to heaven and they can still be together... After all he did take Charlotte's soul directly to heaven. But the fear got the best of him. So whether he is mortal or celestial is irrelevant. Also so many people forget what the con man who was Maze's bounty said to her at the end of their encounter - when she said she had a family or a place to go home to, he said " and you said you don't have a soul"..... (i.e. her behavior says otherwise) And God showing up, makes for a whopper of a cliff hanger, well, to those of us watching it when it was first available on Netflix, because it was a half season finale, and we had to wait many many months for the next episode! Dozens of questions and possible story arcs arise when God shows up after this super eventful mid season finale! You can just give in to temptation and watch the next episode right away :) I suppose it's an open question, by my reading of this was it was not Amenadiel that STOPPED time, it was God who stopped it. Amenadiel could only slow time even when he had all his powers. But stopping time is far more advanced or developed and my theory is Angels have a portion of the "power" that God has, only less developed..... Anyway strap in because the "B" half of season 5 gets pretty intense. Also remember that the writers thought season 5 was to be the last, so they worked towards resolving all the open issues or questions, but then midway through filming it, Netflix asked for a season 6 so they had to change direction quickly.....
