So much of the turbulence and story swings have frustrated the audience and made them longing for answers.... The answers are remarkably simple and have been hinted at since the beginning. Oh and just a note, well written shows almost never introduce an important character or artifact without some tie in to it later,,,, So Lillith's immortality contained in the ring is likely to play a role downstream, logically speaking since they spent a whole episode to describe it. You may need tissues for the next episode.

2023-09-14 19:30:08 +0000 UTCI wondered how we would find out about the secret that Lucifer is keeping from Maze, according to Michael. I thought that this episode was a very clever and funny way for us to find out and also to find out about that ring Luci always wears and how that is connected to Maze and Lilith. I can just imagine Michael dropping his venom into maze's ears, " Ask about that ring he wears for it will tell you something he keeps hidden from you. It's all about the ring." Trixie, though- what a minx but I loved the relationship between Trixie and Luci. Remembering what he said back in season 4 about he would do anything to protect her, it is clear he does care about her even if he pretends not too care so much sometimes. I also love Trixie's (okay- devious, yes but...) easy relationship with Lucifer and she is clearly comfortable hanging around with him. The end when Maze, now knowing her mother is not only alive but not far away and she never knew, goes to see her and is rejected all over again really hurt . It was brutal and heartbreaking. I wondered if we might find out more or see Lilith again and if it will tie in to the rest of the season. Next episode is back to the main plot again and the pace really picks back up with drama and surprises as we have come to expect as the story moves to episode 8, which was originally the finale to season 5A. We had to wait ages for 5B- it was such a long a time and so frustrating after episode 8! Lucky you, you can push straight on and complete season 5 without any gaps!
