Phone books still give the address along with name and phone number. "Come with me if you want to live."

2023-08-28 02:19:30 +0000 UTCI was 14 when this movie came out, but I can’t remember if I saw it in the theaters or when it came out on video. It was probably rated R so I must’ve seen it on video. Times were so different back then. My Mom would tell my brother and me when we were kids to go outside and play on a Saturday morning and not come home until the street lights came on or she would call us for dinner. Yes, she would stick her head out the door and call our names to come home. We were usually in the neighbor’s backyard playing with the kids who lived there. It’s hard to believe we could get addresses from the phone book. You had a choice of not being in the phone book at all, just your name and phone number or name, number and address. When watching movies before cell phones and someone wanted your number, you would hear people say “I’m in the book” I agree with Linda and I love that Kyle came back for Sarah and John gave him the picture of her knowing that Kyle is his father and that he dies when he goes back. I was not as smart as you and didn’t figure out that Kyle was going to end up being John’s father until they slept together. You are correct in your thoughts that Kyle was born after the war and grew up fighting the machines, he met John and learned a lot from him and respected him never knowing John was his son. He goes back in time and conceives John before dying (which I hate!) I had such a crush on Kyle when I first saw the movie. He’s so cute. Anyway, he dies, but you start to see the strength in Sarah and then Kyle is born after the war and meets John and gets sent back in this circle over and over. The whole time travel thing is pretty interesting. I remember watching something when someone goes back in time to fix something and gets help from his friends from a few years earlier. They changed some events over a few days, but nothing that would make a huge difference. His friend and wife had conceived their son during this time and they didn’t make love at the same time because they had to fix something so the couple made love the next night. They end up fixing the problem, I don’t remember what, but when the one guy goes back to his own time, his friends have a daughter instead of a son and he is the only person who knows because the timeline was changed. That completely fried my brain because I never thought of that. The couple conceived their child on a different day so it was different sperm etc. what a mind warp and I think of that when I see movies like this about going back in time and conceiving a baby. How can they guarantee that the child will be a boy and be the man who grows up to be this leader named John Connor? I guess in this universe it will always be John Connor as long as it’s Sarah and Kyle. I think it’s sweet and sad that Kyle always wondered what she was thinking about in the picture and she was thinking of him 🥲

I think adult Connor sent adult Reese to past to stop him from . Hurting his mother protecting the future . I think them making John was just an accident maybe 🤔. The movie holds up after all these years that's why people say terminator one of the greatest movies of all time.
