I think you would love it, it's so well-acted and just do well-done. I think it's around 12 episodes long or so. It's on Hulu here in the US, not sure where you can watch it in Canada. You hit the nail right on the head when you were saying that it was almost like they were parodying fairytales. Because it was definitely an homage to fairytales, old swash-buckling pirate movies, and just classic children's adventure stories. The movie does an amazing job of taking audience expectations regarding those kinds of stories and turning them on their head a bit, while still honoring the genres and the audience's love for those stories. A great example of this is when The Albino first talks to Wesley and Wesley asks, "Where am I?" The Albino answers in a super gravelly, monster-ish kind of voice - "The Pit of Des-pair! Don't even think -" and then he just clears his throat and talks normally! 😄 Cracks me up every time. Cause as an audience we've come to expect something like that voice to come out of that kind of character. It's just genius. 😍 The "ma-wwige" speech makes me laugh every time too. Peter Cook is "The Impressive Clergyman" (literally the character's actual name! 😁) and he's so perfect. I'm not sure how they all got through that scene. That speech is definitely quoted in a lot of pop culture, as is the "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." That whole scene with Inigo and Rugen is SUPERB! Anyway, I've rambled once again. This was wonderful, and lots of fun to watch with you. 😊
