I agree with you, in my eyes the greens took her throne and killed 2 of her children. Vhagar matched Aemond's energy but not his intent and when Arrax attacked it was just on. If I was Rhaenyra id take some pointers from Aegon the Conqueror and send ravens saying something like those who bend the knee and honor the oath to the rightful heir will live and those who break the oath with die, fly to Oldtown (House Hightower) and Storms End (House Baratheon) and find the Lannister fleet and whip them out immediately. 2 big powerful armies/ houses out of the fight and making her fleet the only one in Westeros all while making a massive point. It could be done in the span of a week or so. She has to hold the realm together for the long night but the quicker this war ends, and she gets the throne the quicker she can begin to reunite the realm. It took a while, but the realm was united even though Aegon used fear and death to conquer the kingdoms. Use fire and blood to win and then earn the love and respect needed through time.

The baby that Rhaenyra loses in the beginning of this episode was going to be her first daughter and she was going to be named Visenya. It’s ironic that Queen Aemma never had a boy whereas Rhaenyra had 5 boys and lost her daughter. Also I think most people are in agreement that the Greens are responsible for the death of baby Visenya. Aemond was 100% just trying to taunt and scare Lucerys but that’s where he fucked up. He rides the biggest, oldest, and most battle experienced dragon. Vhagar was one of the three dragons that conquered the seven kingdoms. Aemond was playing games with a dragon that has zero patience for them. This episode does a good job at showing that dragons feel their riders emotions as well and that’s why Arrax attacks Vhagar first, he was feeling Lucerys’ fear combined with his own fear and was just trying to protect both of them. The dragon that we see Daemon with is Vermithor. Vermithor was King Jaehaerys dragon (The King before Viserys) and is the second biggest dragon. At this point, intentions do not matter. Whether Aemond meant to do it or not, it happened because of him and will be considered the first act of war so Rhaenyra won’t be playing around anymore come next season.
