2023-07-15 15:12:19 +0000 UTCIt's such a cool and well constructed universe! and you know how our phones seem to listen to us in a creepy way, I have a bunch of LOTR memes or just content showing up on my feeds and I saw one about the eagles and how some people say it's kind of a "plot hole" and I thought that was funny because I didn't even think about how they could've used them from the beginning but that's good ahahhaha

Every time Sam tells Frodo that he can’t carry it for him, but he can carry him, it makes me cry. The same with the scene when Aragorn is crowned and everyone kneels to the hobbits. You made a comment about the way Eowyn looks at Aragorn and I’d be looking at him the exact same way. The man is fine!😍 Here’s something that might blow your mind. I read a comment about the eagles coming in to save Frodo and Sam from the lava and the commenter said why couldn’t the eagles have flown them to Mount Doom to begin with which would’ve saved a lot of time. Evie, you are not the first person to comment about Sam being such a good friend. I’ve seen other comments that everyone needs a Sam in their life. Maybe we can be a Sam to someone. Fun Fact: at the end when Sam is walking to his house and the little girl comes out to greet him, that is his real life daughter. You are correct about why Frodo left with the Elves. When he and Sam were looking at the book, Frodo mentioned that the wound he received from being stabbed by the rider never healed and when he was narrating, he said that some hurts are deep and take hold. After everything he’d experienced, he couldn’t go back to living in the Shire. I also noticed that he looked happy when he got on the boat and turned to smile at his friends. In the book, Sam ends up joining Frodo when he gets old because he also carried the ring. There is one scene that makes me sad, when Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin are back in the Shire just sitting at the tavern quietly looking at each other and thinking about what they had gone through. I wish they’d been on the tables dancing and singing like earlier in the movies, but this experience changed them. More Fun Facts: Viggo Mortensen who plays Aragorn was a last minute replacement. The cast had been in training for a couple months and Peter Jackson, the director, felt that the actor they had for Aragorn was too young. Viggo wasn’t even their second choice and when they did offer him the part, he almost turned it down because it meant being away for 18 months to film all 3 movies back to back and he didn’t want to be away from his son, but his son was a fan of the books and talked him into it. He joined the cast the day before shooting started and didn’t get and sword training, however, the swordsman who trained the cast said that Viggo was one of the best actors he’d ever worked with even though he didn’t have any training. Viggo is also an experienced horseman and was in another movie called Hidalgo with a horse and bought the horse after filming ended. You might also recognize the actor playing Pippin, Billy Boyd. He appeared in Outlander as one of Brianna’s suitors who was going to propose. He ended up as Bonnet’s lawyer who tried to Kill Jocasta. In an episode of Supernatural when Sam was going through the 3 trials, Dean told him that he couldn’t carry the burden for him, but would carry him. Sam told Dean that he just quoted LOTR. Dean said it was okay because it was the “Rudy” Hobbit who said it. Rudy is the name of a movie that the actor starred in. Again, I know that you had already seen at least the first movie, but I’m glad you saw all three. They are just epic movies.
