This episode isn't a favorite of mine. It's barely watchable. I don't know why we had to see her character again. I didn't really like her first episode either. Anyway, the next episode is great.

2023-06-07 22:20:24 +0000 UTCHey! You're definitely not alone in feeling like this is just a so-so episode. I'm in the minority, in that I actually really enjoy it. I know it doesn't really do it for a lot of people. I do agree with you that Victor's motivations are a bit unlikely, and kind of over dramatic. I do also feel like they didn't quite manage the chemistry between the kids that they needed to make their scenes work. Which is why I think you felt like their dialogue was kind of cheesy, cause it didn't really ring true or natural between them. (Or between them and Victor.) Having said that, I really like Chrissy. I enjoy her friendship with Dean. I also think she has a big crush on him (who could blame her) and that's why she cops a bit of an attitude with him, cause she's trying to seem "sophisticated". Like when Aidan says, "You know this guy?" and she's like, "We have a past." Which evokes a kind of mystery to their previous meeting as opposed to saying, "He came and saved me, when my Daddy went missing." Lol! I also enjoy seeing Dean doling out the lessons that he's learned himself over the years. "Hunting isn't all about killing." "Let's not be so bloodthirsty that just anyone will do." Him using the cure that saved him to save others. I appreciate seeing that growth in Dean on full display. I also LOVE the scene of him easily ripping the gun out of Aidan's hand, and the way you can see Chrissy thinking - "Shit, he did that to me too." 😄😄 Oh, and with Victor, we've never seen his character, he's just supposed to be someone the boys worked with way back when. But the actor is the same guy who played the evil Doctor/Striga in Something Wicked, WAY back in 1x18, which was probably why you recognized him. 😊 They often reuse actors which I love. 😊 I also believe wholeheartedly that while Dean desperately didn't want Chrissy to kill Victor because he didn't want that kind of weight and guilt on her shoulders, he never intended to just let him walk away so he could just do it all over again. That's why he said, "We don't kill people." and then corrected himself to say, "You don't kill people." Cause, yeah, he was coming back to take care of Victor. Just my opinion. 😏 Anyway, sorry you didn't enjoy this one as much, but it was still a very enjoyable reaction. 😊 P.S. Oh yeah - and I SO share in your pet peeve of the whole table being set, everyone sitting down for 5 seconds and then, "Oop, gotta go!" and they all clear out. That's SO annoying, and a cliche that happens in movies and TV all the time, that I absolutely hate! 😒
