I personally love this episode. It's nice to see the boys from another perspective and it shows how much Dean has changed

2023-11-15 14:05:20 +0000 UTCYeah, wow...this episode. So, in order to get through this rewatch, I'm just gonna go ahead and write out my thoughts as I go along. 1. Um...when Michael was filming her in the beginning and she was all into him and asking about his camera! Like what creeper guy wrote that dialoge, cause I can promise you, no woman is gonna be like, 'Were you filming me?! Cause, ooh, I like your camera big boy!' ππ 2. Just looked it up, and OMG this episode was written by ROBBIE THOMPSON! (I promise you Evie that you will love so many of his other episodes! I can't believe he was the one who wrote this!) I had no idea, or maybe I did, and I just shoved it to the back of my mind out of love for him?! π I guess every great writer is allowed to have one gigantic stinker. Lol! 3. I agree with you about the 'outside perspective' making Sam and Dean even hotter! π 4. And again, how are these idiots THE GOOD GUYS? They film a girl getting assaulted and their first thought is, 'This is gonna look great on YouTube!' π€¨π 5. Blech, the nightvision and shaky cam is THE worst! 6. The whole episode is so weird with how they record everything. Why would you? 7. Also, wtAf with their reaction to Michael being bitten, and getting some kind of freakish super strength and healing. They're so calm about it, like laughing. What??π€π€ 8. 'I miss Sam and Dean.' might be my favourite reaction to this episode. Cause - yeah, same. 9. I think on top of so little Sam and Dean in this episode, one of the main issues is that I really strongly DISLIKE all the other characters. They're so stupid, and trite, and they're kind of all assholes. 10. Not sure if Jared and Jensen just wanted some time off or not, but this episode sure does make us realize how much we miss them when they're gone. π© 11. Don't apologize for pausing this junk to take care of your adorable kitties, I wouldn't blame you for shutting it off completely. Lol! 12. One of the only chuckles I really get out of this whole episode is at around the 25:00 minute mark (of your reaction not the episode) when we see Dean talking to the coroner outside. He's like a foot and a half taller than her, and is sort of towering over her. It's just kind of adorable. Also, Dean's 'Do I really say 'awesome' a lot?' π Note that both those moments are focused on the boys. π 13. I literally LOL'd at your releived and kind of desperate sounding, 'Yay!' when the black and white image of Sam and Dean comes up in the restaurant. It's SO relateable. Cause yeah, by this point in the episode, I was just like - 'I don't care about these people! Give me Sam and Dean!!' 14. 'Two hands, two burgers! It only makes sense.' Amen! You understand Dean very well. π 15. So, we do get a piece of interesting lore that comes back into play later in the series, so I'll try to explain what they talk about here because seriously, who's paying attention? π So, they said that 'pure blood' lines of werewolves are those that were turned within the first 1 or 2 generations after the Alpha. They can change at will basically, and aren't necessarily ruled by the moon. They also remember everything when they transform and don't 'wolf out' in the same way. If you remember Madison, way back in S2, (the werewolf Sam slept with and then had to kill! π) she was a newly bitten werewolf, and she had no memory of transforming or anything she did when she transformed. But pure bloods can control it and remember everything. *Here endeth the lesson.*. If you slept through it, I might have to wolf out and eat your heart! π Smh...ugh the stupid in this episode just piles up! Lol! 16. It doesn't help that the actors in this episode have the acting skills of a high school drama class. 17. 'Is this almost over?' The question every person asks watching this. π 18. It's beyond ridiculous to me that, after the 'love of her life' is murdered by their best friend, who she then rips to shreds, Kate sits down at her computer and like edits it all together. ππ 19. Kate: Please, please give me a chance. π₯Ίπ₯ Evie: Kill her. πππ Exactly!! 20. Just a clarification for why the boys let Kate go, she didn't kill anyone human, and she didn't eat a human heart. She didn't eat Michael's, and she just ripped the other guy apart. She wouldn't have eaten his heart anyway, cause he was a wolf. So, so far she could just live off of animal hearts. π I still say kill her though, just so she never makes another shitty documentary! 21. Your wrap up made it clear that you understood most of what I tried to clarify above. The logistics of 'aren't all of them descended from the Alpha?' gets cleared up and clarified in a future episode, so I won't spoil it here. π But you're good. You got everything you needed to out of this one. I'm sorry. π The fandom apologizes! π Take solace, the next episode is very enjoyable. π

I'm looking forward to seeing Evie's reaction to it, even though I'll probably get sick from all the shaky cam! ππ

2023-04-08 16:54:50 +0000 UTCI agree Evie. Sorry I have to miss your Supernatural reaction this week, but I just cannot sit through this episode for anyone. Season 8 does get better than this and ends up being one of my favorite seasons, so keep the faith.
