2023-04-01 15:15:11 +0000 UTCHey Evie, I'm glad you enjoyed the movie. Linda beat me to the punch... (ba dum bum) I was going to ask if you noticed that Sylvester Stallone wrote the movie. He wrote all of Rocky movies and also directed many of them. This movie won the Best Picture Academy Award in 1976. I saw this movie about a year ago with another reactor who never had interest in watching a boxing movie even though this is one of her husband's favorite movies and had been trying to get her to watch it for years. She has now watched all the movies in the franchise and has Rocky merch. What she figured out is that this isn't a boxing movie. It's a love story and she's all about a good love story Sylvester Stallone even said that he wrote this movie as a love story and the main character happens to be a boxer. I agree with Linda, Rocky and Adrian are OTP. The whole "gaps" thing is such a perfect description. They are so cute together and I love seeing Adrian come out of her shell and by the end of the movie she is more confident and even looks different and more beautiful. The steps that Rocky runs up during his training have become a big tourist stop in Philadelphia. You will always see people running up those steps and jumping around like he did. "The Rocky steps" I'm also looking forward to the next movie and see the character development with you.

The third one is my favourite one too. Though I absolutely LOVE the second one as well. So impressive that Sylvester Stallone not only created an iconic role in Rocky, but he wrote the movie as well! Rocky has such a quiet, kind heart. I love that the few times he had the chance throughout the movie to become violent with people, he chooses not to. He's just such a sweet guy. Rocky and Adrian are such an OTP! I absolutely love them together - relationship goals! One of my favourite lines is when Rocky is talking to Paulie and he says, "I got gaps, she's got gaps. Together we fill each other's gaps." Like, that's such a sweet, simple way to look at their relationship. Just adorable! ❤️ This was fabulous - can't wait for #2. 😊
