The Flash is in Central city and Arrow is in Starling city, so yeah different towns but same universe.

I made it to season 8 on Flash. There is a big mystery . And for a show to have 9 seasons it's pretty good.

2023-02-21 23:48:57 +0000 UTCA lot of people have mixed opinions about these shows and some like one over the other, Arrow is darker and The Flash is more light hearted and that goes to the characters. As you watch, you will see that Oliver is a darker and tortured guy, but Barry is kind and generous. You obviously haven't seen it yet, but Barry makes Oliver's mask which is why he told Barry to take his own advice about wearing a mask. The Arrow works in the shadows, but Oliver was telling Barry that he can be an inspiration and a hero out in the light. Yes, they are in 2 different cities, Central City and Starling City, I believe Oliver mentioned that Barry didn't run 600 miles just to say hi to a friend. Oliver becomes a mentor to Barry because he's been doing this longer.

2023-02-21 21:01:45 +0000 UTCHey Evie, I'm glad you are watching The Flash because you are correct that it is the same universe as Arrow. We first meet Barry Allen on an episode of Arrow at the end of S1 and then this became a spin off show. The Flash and Arrow do crossover episodes with both battling bad guys, so it would be difficult if you didn't watch both They did introduce a couple of other shows as well and each year they would do a big crossover event with the story starting on one show and continuing on the other shows. The problem is that when this pilot premiered, Arrow was starting it's 2nd season so the crossover episodes won't match. Technically, you should watch this when Arrow S2 begins
