Marcel’s argument was nonsensical though. The originals were supposed to be the strongest vampires yet they continuously needed the help of others including that of marcel to vanquish their enemies. What keeps them at the top is once push comes to shove regardless of their differences they’ll choose to support one another. It’s how they beat ester and fynn, their aunty and Lucian, Aurora and Tristan. No king wants to give up their role and control. You cannot be king and be equal to others in the region you control. That’s nonsensical, it’s the same reason Marcel didn’t tolerate insubordination at any point when he was in control of NOLA. He even did public executions to dissuade those who thought to spur uprisings. Even now as the more powerful creature marcel if he beats the Mikaelson’s. For how long does he think he’ll rule until they unite and defeat him again. No king gets to rule for ever, but the ones who prove resilient will always find their way back to the top. As the Mikaelson’s have done repeatedly.

2023-02-11 19:15:20 +0000 UTCI think this episode was the first time we see the writers start to put into perspective the hard truth. That even tho we have been rooting for the Mikaelsons since the beginning, the truth most of the time, is that they’re the villains of a lot of peoples stories. And most of the time they are the ones that are wrong and our perspective truly comes from who’s telling the story and that’s who we root for. & not for what is truly right.

2023-02-11 18:43:47 +0000 UTCI didn’t like Hayley defending Elijah to Klaus or the comparison of all the ex girlfriends of Elijah that Klaus has either killed or ran off to Elijah killing Marcel. Someone that Klaus loves as son. Those relationships aren’t even remotely same in my opinion. If Hayley didn’t want to make him feel more guilty that’s fine. She could had been by his side without saying anything. But her trying to justify no I didn’t agree with that. I understand the show’s reasons for Elijah killing him but in my opinion none of them make sense. But I blame the writers more than the character of Elijah. I understand that they only had one episode left, and they needed Marcel to become the beast but Elijah could had snapped his neck something that he would had woken up from regardless or not if he taken the serum, Freya could had even cast a spell to knock him out until they could have talk to him. Like; there’s was so much stuff they could had done before ripping out his heart. So, while I understand why Elijah did it, and disagree with what he did, I also understand that it was plot point purposes and I feel like if they had more time/more episodes then maybe he wouldn’t had done that because it was stupid in my opinion.

Was very mad when I saw it like “THIS ISNT THE TIME”😂😂, I also don’t understand if you thought Hayley’s reasons were bad or if you think there is no good reasoning for what Elijah did, But Elijah has dedicated his entire life to his family, and with the addition of hope it only amplified his already murderous intentions to protect his family. I do think Elijah was very careless to do what he did but I didn’t expect anything less from him being the (in my opinion) most voracious of the Mikaelson family to defend his family. Coulda been handled better for sure but wasn’t mad because I knew Who Elijah is and the extremities he’d go to protect his family, he didn’t kill marcel for himself he did it to protect everyone he loved. But for sure after what happened with davina I don’t blame marcel at all for going off on Elijah since he orchestrated the plan so it’s a matter of who’s perspective you choose to see the situation from

2023-02-11 17:59:39 +0000 UTCThis episode was going to be the last one that I watched if Marcel was dead. I cried for hours, and my Netflix blacked out because I had it paused for so long. I couldn’t finish the episode until I spoiled myself to see if Charles was still a main character in s4 and s5. I would have stopped watching the show. I already lost Davina, and now Marcel? It would have been too much. I never noticed these easter eggs until watching reactors react to the episode but in s1 Elijah threatened to kill Marcel and Marcel said, something about Klaus never talking to Elijah again once he finds out that Elijah killed him. I feel like the show has always hinted at Elijah's killing Marcel but I don’t think any of us ever thought it would happen. Looking back, it’s obvious that Marcel had taken the serum. Because the writers had Elijah kill him in a way that he should have stayed dead. Elijah could have just snapped his neck. Which is just a temporary death for them. I know that would have activated the serum regardless but they pick a death that would make you think that Marcel was dead cause they wanted us to feel heartbroken. If we would have seen Elijah just snapped his neck. We would have been like, he’s fine. I also agree with what Marcel said about taking the serum. The serum doesn’t turn someone evil. He would have still been the Marcel that they all loved just stronger than them. I couldn’t stand Hayley in this episode, her trying to justify Elijah's actions was horrible, especially considering I don’t think I saw her any other time in the episode. The writers wrote her into the episode just so she could sleep with Elijah and defend him. She did nothing else. I also don’t want any Mikaelson including Hayley and Marcel because they’re also a Mikaelson to die but I also don’t want Davina, Josh, or Vincent to die either. Why do we have to sacrifice them to keep Mikaelsons alive?

2023-02-11 15:29:51 +0000 UTCNotice how the prophecy always said one by friend, foe, & family. Marcel fits every one of those. He's been all 3 to them at one point. This episode has been the only time Elijah annoyed me a bit. He definitely interrupted the conversation & Klaus may have been able to talk Marcel down. Elijah escalated it with his threats and condescending tone. Their actions quite literally put this prophecy in motion. The prophecy should've influenced them by doing things a different way but the "Mikaelson way" led them to this. Quite literally lol. I LOVE the siblings dearly but it was nice seeing Marcel give them a bit of reality check. But also Marcel's words were threatening their life with the means to & all he could see was the prochecy so I don't 100% blame him. I love them all so its so hard to fully be against either of them.
