What did you think of this movie??

Hey Evie, After the movie, you mentioned Captain America 2 and we actually see Steve again before the next Captain America movie which is why it would be a good idea to watch them in release order. Some characters might show up in other movies. Also, you mentioned that you liked that he wasnβt bitten by a spider etc. like other Superheroes. IronMan is a regular guy without any special abilities along with a few other heroes that we meet along the way. Hoping to take this journey with you! ππΌ

2023-02-11 17:25:43 +0000 UTCHey Evie, Great reaction as always! I would love to re-watch the MCU movies again with you and I agree that after this movie you watch in release order. Some characters and topics are referenced in other movies and it will help to have seen them as they were released to understand. Iron Man was released in 2008, and even though this movie was released in 2011, I believe, they named it βThe First Avengerβ because technically Steve Rogers became Captain America back in the 1940βs His shield is made out of the strongest metal on Earth called vibranium and it is also referenced in other movies along with other things made out of vibranium. Remember the name Stark. It was Howard Stark who had the floating car in the beginning of the movie and was there for the experiment and helped Steve find his vibranium shieldβ¦ Okay no more informationβ¦ youβll have to watch them. I still hope you will watch the LOTR movies, I have a feeling you will love them. They have it allβ¦ Friendship, Action, Drama, Comedy, Love, Good vs Evil and some eye candy π

2023-02-10 23:40:23 +0000 UTCI was going to say the exact same thing, but I'll add that Captain America wasnt the first movie in this series. It's not a bad place to start though π

2023-02-10 18:59:41 +0000 UTCAwesome reaction!! Love this movie and I'm so glad you did too. I already stated my thoughts on the importance of watching the movies in order of release as opposed to chronologically, so I won't ramble on more. π I absolutely love Steve, and his evolution as a character throughout the MCU is one of my favourites. Captain America is definitely one of my favourite Avengers. This is a wonderful introduction to to him. When the film first came out I remember I wasn't too interested in seeing it. Cause I thought it was gonna be all "Rah! Rah! America!" and kind of a blech amount of Superman level American propaganda. But it really wasn't. I love how they address the fact that the actual comic books of Captain America in the 40s were for sure used as war propaganda. The stage show and all the fake bravado Americanism was hilarious and really well done with how it was contrasted with the actual war going on. I love that they showed him with a team as well, and gave tribute to the real soldiers who laid down their lives in WWII. They didn't just negate them in history. They fought and won with Cap too. An incredibly well done film, and I love him and Peggy too. It is so sad that they didn't get their dance. βΉοΈ Looking forward to you hopefully continuing on in the MCU! Loved this one! β€οΈ

2023-02-10 18:41:31 +0000 UTCThere's one very important thing... I think every or at least almost every MCU-Movie has one or more Mid- or After-Credit-Scenes. Sometimes these are just for fun but a few are important for the next movie...

2023-02-10 18:39:26 +0000 UTCI was actually going to say the same thing. I think the first time watching, you should definitely watch them in order of release dates because the MCU is sort of a carefully woven web of stories, and there were for sure things that the filmmakers relied on the audience knowing from previous movies. For example when Nick Fury (Sam Jackson) shows up at the end, everyone already knew who he was and who he worked for. And yes, the end credit scenes will be all out of order. It's not a big deal that you watched this one first. But if I were you, Evie, I'd start back at Iron Man 1 and continue on in release date order. I think it will make more sense that way. Btw, Iron Man is a fabulous movie. β€οΈ

2023-02-10 18:30:05 +0000 UTCI recommend release order not chronologically. There are after credit scenes for the movies that will not make sense in this order and you might miss things that were in a previously released movie that help set up the next movie. As a Marvel Enthusiast I would recommend RELEASE ORDER just for better experience and understanding. π

2023-02-10 17:00:50 +0000 UTCYes! Iβll be watching them chronologically :)

2023-02-10 15:19:59 +0000 UTCThis is first chronologically in the mcu timeline but ironman was the first released. This is technically the 5th movie in the series but its not that big a deal as long as we watch the solo films before the first teamup.
