Fun fact - Sam said that filming in that cabin (which is a redress of Brianna & Roger's cabin) that the smell was really that bad, because every time the Director said, "Action", the goats started peeing!

2023-02-03 02:22:16 +0000 UTCEvie, I've finally caught up with you here. I love all your reactions. To refresh your memory, Jamie's father collapsed with a stroke (apoplexy in 18th century) while Black Jack was flogging him the second time.

2023-01-22 05:12:56 +0000 UTCOh, Tara! (and Evie). I don't know that I can fight the urge now... Tonight now I'll probably have to sit back to hear Caitríona's voice in my head... even before I actually hear it, and see the pitureeaqe highlands appear... "People disappear all the time..." to see the blue vase again... and anticipate a young Claire covered in blood hoisting a magnum of champagne while hearing "Clare, did you hear? It's over! It's really, finally over!" And "Given all the pain and heartache of everything that came... she'd do it all again!" -God, I love this show!

2023-01-16 20:34:49 +0000 UTCHey Evie, Wow, you seem to be flying through the episodes with your boyfriend. Part of me wanted to see you rewatch the show. But, now I’m curious what he thinks of Black Jack, the wedding episode and those scenes in Wentworth prison etc. Does he get it now why so many love Jamie Fraser? Are you seeing things that you didn’t notice the first time watching? In the first episode, when Claire is looking at the vase before she goes back in time, she’s narrating something like “after all the pain and death she would make the same decision”. Did you also notice how the first episode opened with Claire talking about people disappearing? Evie, that is one actor playing the twins, Josiah and Keziah. I felt the same as you when Jamie and Claire went to the house. It was clear that something was off. When Claire apologizes that she didn’t get the woman’s name and Fanny said “your name is Sassenach” I laughed because of course she’d think that only hearing Jamie call her that and Claire saying “Only to my husband” That’s right! She has been HIS Sassenach for about 25 years. I completely understand Claire’s feelings about Brianna, Roger and Jemmy going back because it’s safer, but Jamie doesn’t want to lose his daughter and grandson. I believe Jamie’s dad had a stroke which is why he wondered if he suffered the same way as Mr. Beardsley or if he died immediately and asked Claire not to let him suffer should that ever happen to him. But, I could be wrong.

2023-01-16 20:30:21 +0000 UTCAs Clare and Jamie approached the Beardsley house and Evie already said she didn't like it... I thought wait! Later, when the wife goes into labor, Evie exclaims "WTF!" Finally, rt the swam of birds in flight after the shot killing Beardsley... "Oh my... it's almost as if the 'evil' left." Yet another great reaction, Evie!
