9,5/10! amazing episode

What did you think of this one??

I don't know if any one has ever brought this up to you, but S7 was about taking things away from the boys (Cas, Baby, Bobby), see how they react and make them stand on their own two feet. If they always had Bobby to fall back on, they'd never grown into their own.

I would love to know what your top 10-20 are! When it's all over and you're all finished the series I'll share mine with you! Looking forward to chatting about that. 😊

Oh I didn't know about that last part! totally makes sense! I hope we get to see him again so time, we'll see :)

Thank you Linda! this is one of my top episodes for sure! (I will have to decide on top episodes at some point, I'll start thinking about it lol) I did make a list of all the 144 Buffy episodes from best to worst so why not start with a top 10-20

Marie-Ève Vignon

I agree with you on everything!

Linda, everything was so beautifully said :)

Merry Christmas Evie!! Well, I agree with everything that Linda said above. I also miss Rufus and was so happy to see him again. It was tough watching Bobby's memories and that he told his wife he didn't want kids because he was afraid he'd turn into his dad. Did you notice that his dad was shot in the exact same place as Bobby? It was tough also watching Dean and Sam's reaction. Linda's right, both of the boys deal differently. Dean gets angry and Sam processes internally. I agree that Sam may have touched his hand to just check to see if this was really happening. I loved when Bobby told the reaper that they are "MY BOYS" and when he told his father that he adopted two boys who grew up to be heroes. Seeing that his last and best memory was of him with his boys about to watch a movie with them arguing over snacks. Believe me, I've seen this episode many times and I was crying right along with you. I'm not sure if you know this, but Jim Beaver had a daughter with special needs and he lived in Los Angeles. Since the show was filmed in Vancouver, it was easier for him to be there for his daughter rather than be in almost every episode, which might be why he chose to remain as a guest star and not a regular cast member... but this is Supernatural. Do people really stay dead?

What an absolutely incredible reaction. I understand completely what you mean by saying that you felt at peace at the end of the episode. Because yes, this episode was one of the best told episodes of the series. Every moment was incredibly well-paced, acted, directed, written - just a masterpiece for sure. It was beautiful and devastating all at once. But yeah, the reaper was right, Bobby has absolutely earned his rest. I'm not a John hater (as some of the fandom, understandably are), but I fully admit that Bobby was a better Dad to the boys in many, many ways. He loved them SO much, and he was an amazing Dad! The fact that his last, perfect memory was just sitting and listening to the boys bicker about nothing, makes me ugly cry every time. You are 100% right that the last thing you want is a vengeful, raging, pissed off Dean Winchester as your enemy. Dude's scary. The part where he almost smashes his fist into that little organ donation dude's face is scary af. 😬👀 I agree, that the part where Sam is pressing on his hand was him trying to see if everything was just a hallucination. Lucifer may have popped up, but that may have been what gave Sam momentary hope that it wasn't real. It makes me so sad that he actually WANTS to be seeing Lucifer and hallucinating this time. These boys have just been through too much, and my heart is broken for them. Like, they're both so incredibly vulnerable right now, as it is - losing Bobby is too much for them to have to take on top of everything else. 😔 This was a beautiful, heart-breaking reaction, and I appreciated so much, you sharing your genuine, heartfelt emotions with us. Merry Christmas, Evie! Have a wonderful, peaceful, restful holiday!

One of the best episodes for sure. Our beloved Bobby. I love how he feels about Sam and Dean. Don't want to start anything, but I see Bobby as more of a father to them than john. I am not a John fan so that's where I am coming from. Very impactful episode. I do think there was more of seeing Dean's reaction to this Sam. Maybe because Dean is so visceral in his reactions and Sam can be more subdued. I am not saying Sam doesn't care, I just think Dean's anger is more visual so I think we saw more of his reaction. Sam processes it in a quieter way but just as heartfelt.
