According to my calculations, I was 7 years old when this movie came out... after watching it, I just want to go back to that age :'(

I totally agree that Christmas is not as magical spent with adults, so I can't wait to have children to make it as special for as long as possible for them, with traditions and stuff they can bring into their adult Christmases maybe :)

I do remember one Christmas eve when I was very little and I was looking out my bedroom window up in the sky and I saw a red light far away and thought it was Rudolph and was so excited. I also remember getting a doll carriage for Christmas and my dad made wheel tracks in the carpet from the fireplace to the tree so it looked like carriage came down the chimney. One Christmas, a neighbor came to our house dressed as Santa and when he left, my parents and older brother said we should go to the fireplace to hear Santa on the roof as he was leaving. I remember saying that I couldn't hear anything and my parents and brother kept saying that they could hear Santa on the roof with the reindeer and I though something was wrong because I couldn't hear anything and I cried because I couldn't hear Santa and they could. Of course, now I know they were pretending, but I was so upset at the time.. I though about that when they showed the bell in the movie. I love Christmas with children. It's just not as magical when you spend Christmas with all adults. Evie, I'm glad you mentioned the animation. I think they did a great job making the conductor look like Tom Hanks, but honestly, I think the children look a bit creepy, especially the little girl. I have only seen this movie once when it first came out I didn't vote for it in the poll and almost didn't watch your reaction, but wanted to see your take on the movie.
