The show runners saw that fans loved so much Murtagh played by Duncan Lacroix at conventions. They decided to keep him alive longer that in the books to please the audience. He is not Jamie's father.

When you give us an eye roll without actually rolling your eyes or yelling for the episode not to be over. I think my favorite was the last episode when you looked at the camera and said something like this show is going to kill me. lol You did recognize Pippin from Lord of the Rings. I actually watched the trilogy over the weekend. I really love Merry and Pip. Well, I love them all. I felt so bad for Brianna having her Aunt Jocasta force a husband on her and that she gave her blessing for the union between that Forbes guy and Brianna… excuse me!! Why is she blessing it? Luckily her engagement to Lord John got Aunt Jocasta of her back for now. Ha! I loved when those men were fighting for Brianna’s attention and then as soon as they saw the very handsome and charismatic Lord John walk in the room, they looked at each other like “Oh, crap” we have to go up against him for Brianna’s affections 😂 It still boggles my mind that people would propose marriage after spending one evening together. Thank goodness we don’t live in those times. You had a great thought when Aunt Jocasta mentioned Jamie’s mother was pregnant when she got married and that would’ve been an interesting plot twist, but Jamie had an older brother named Willie. You might remember from season one that he carved that wooden snake for Jamie when he was little. Willie died when he was 11 years old from smallpox and Jamie was 6 years old. Jenny is also older than Jamie. Ellen died in childbirth a few years after Willie. When Marsali was first introduced, I couldn’t stand her, but I grew to love her and I knew you would too. That scene between Jamie and Claire always gets me. I couldn’t remember if it happened in this episode or the next. It breaks my heart every time I hear Jamie say that he’s jealous of a dead man and that he’s afraid Brianna will never forgive him if they don’t bring Roger back. But Claire basically told Jamie that there might be times when she promises to keep Brianna’s secrets just between them.
