Fun fact. Sam and Sophie didn't rehearse their reunion scene. It was freezing cold and they wanted it to be as real as possible. They spoke briefly about the blocking, but then just did it and that is the take that we see.

2022-11-28 17:49:47 +0000 UTCWhen this episode started the first time I watched it, I was afraid it would be a while for Brianna to go to Jamie’s Aunt Jocasta and then find her way to her parents. I’m so glad they didn’t do that to us. Poor Brianna thinks Roger got on a ship to Scotland, when really he was forced to join Bonnet on the next ports. When Brianna found Jamie in the alley, I cried so much! Every time I see that scene, I replay it over and over again. I replayed it over and over just now. I love when he tells her that he never thought of her as grown and always thought of her as a wee bairn… BTW: that scene is basically exactly how it was written in the book. They just left out Jamie commenting on how tall she is since she’s 6’ in the book. I still wonder how they explained Brianna to Young Ian and everyone else. As far as everyone knew, Jamie and Claire never had children and they never spoke of Brianna and all of the sudden… poof… here she is as an adult. I agree with you Evie about the way Brianna just went into Jamie’s arms. She needed that comfort and I love the term of endearment names he already gave her upon just meeting her. Awww… I love the smile on Ian’s face when he meets Brianna and says “Welcome cousin” I know right, Evie. The way Jamie looks at her. I love when Jamie goes to wake Brianna and he sees her smile in her sleep. Awww… when he tells her A Leannan means “My darling” and M’annsachd means “My blessing” I’m crying again. Ughh… still crying when Jamie and Brianna are sitting against the log talking. “You’re my flesh and blood and since you’ve returned to me, I’m finding you’re my heart and soul as well” And now the scene when Jamie can’t sleep and tells Claire he doesn’t want Brianna to go back to her own time😭 In the book, when Jamie learns what happened to Brianna, he sits her on his lap and pulls her close to comfort her. It’s so sweet. I understand what you mean by Roger “Roughing her up” but Brianna also gave it back to him by shoving him. Of course, Lizzie didn’t know why they were arguing and assumed he was the guy. Ughh… what a mess! If only Roger had a chance to tell Jamie who he was, but they believe he went back to Scotland. If only Claire could’ve told Jamie it was Bonnet… if only! There are so many…

2022-11-28 17:45:01 +0000 UTCEvie was a bit apprehensive... stalling before she started this one... BUT GOD!!! WAS THIS REACTION GOOD... So incredibly good, I watched it 2X... back-to-back!!! Painful Agony... Uncontainable Joy... Deep, Profound Sadness... Contented and Heartfelt Warmth... finally... Horrific Shock. Evie leapt up and dove down through all of these emotional extremes in an uncontrolled 'bree' (disturbance). There maybe a better TV Episode reaction in the Patreon/YT universe, but it's more likely... not! "I loved this episode, BUT I hated it!" ~ Evie There have been a couple dozen (at least) brilliant, stunning, and extraordinary reactions to this series presented here on Evie Reacts... to the good episodes and the great... However IMHO, none of those previous videos Evie has shared are near to the absolute perfection of this... Evie's 'The Birds and the Bees,' immaculate reaction! Thank You, Evie!
