I’m not a big fan of Willie in this episode, I’m not sure if it was the actor or that he was spoiled IMO. Don’t think I didn’t notice the look on your face Evie when Claire mentioned him being handsome. I could almost see your eyes rolling lol. The boy who played little Willie from the last time we saw him, looked more like Jamie. There’s actually a story about the ring Jamie had made for Claire. The silver ring that Jamie had made for Claire with the “Give me a thousand kisses” engraving was actually Claire’s original wedding ring in the book. The Lallybroch key ring was only on the TV show. I personally really like the key ring though. When Stephen Bonnet robbed them, the TV show creators decided that it would be a perfect opportunity to introduce Claire’s silver ring. In the book, when they were robbed, Bonnet stole Frank’s gold ring, but they switched it for the TV show and instead, he stole the Lallybroch key ring. This provided the perfect opportunity for Jamie to have this silver ring made and give it to her, so now Claire’s ring from Jamie matches the book.

2022-11-08 01:24:18 +0000 UTCAmid Murtagh's questioning and Jamie's silence, the only acknowledgement of who Willie is comes in Evie's silent nodding of her head. Then long periods of a bewildered look on Evie's face, sad sighs and difficult self-talk at the interaction between Clare and Lord John. I also enjoyed the pretty little pout at young Master William's kill shot of the buck Evie's declaration that Lord John had better NOT die fit the moment so well. Finally, Evie's comments on the Jamie - Lord John moment of "test" and Jamie and William's conflict with the Cherokee at the creek, were the true high points here. ...and yes... Willie looked back. [BTW, Fvie don't be so intuitive about young Ian!!!] This was a fairly good react to a less than remarkable, yet still very emotional episode... BUT... I promise you Evie... I am expecting the most emotional and greatest responses from you for what I assure you will next be... three GREAT EPISODES of Television... some of the VERY BEST in the Outlander Series!
