Hi Evie! Great reaction! I also have issues with Dean having Lisa and Ben's memories of him erased. To me, this just means they canβt call him if they need supernatural help, while it stops absolutely nothing from going after them to get at Dean or just by chance. Itβs very heartbreaking, though, and I feel for Dean. However, I honestly think itβs largely the show telling the audience, "this storyline is done for now," after a season of back and forth.

2022-10-15 19:28:58 +0000 UTCGreat reaction - I enjoy this episode very much - it's so scary with Lisa and Ben, I was so terrified that the show was going to kill them off, or Lisa at least. I was so glad they didn't. A lot of people talk about the same problem you did - that they can still be used as leverage against Dean. And you're absolutely right. But I always just assume that in addition to wiping their memories, Cas maybe put some wardings around them to be safe and to keep demons off their trail. But yes, it is heartbreaking that Dean sees himself like a car that crashed into them. And it is heartbreaking to see him give them up completely, they were the closest thing to normal that Dean ever had. π And yeah, everything with Dean and Cas is heartbreaking too - I kinda wanna smack both of them a little, but I understand where they're both coming from too. Cas may be blinded by power, but he does also think that what he's doing is the solution to the Raphael problem. And for Dean, he (and Sam and Bobby) think opening up Purgatory and letting out monster souls is a terrible idea. Also, I think the fact that Cas is working with the asshole demon that threatened Ben and Lisa's life, who traumatized them and who made Dean take the drastic step of wiping their memories, are the reasons that Cas healing Lisa still "didn't change anything". So grateful you realeased both episodes today! Can't wait to see what you think of the finale! π
