[Mini-Game] Sympathy for Halloween - FPS

In keeping with the tradition of failing on dates, here's the mini-game: “Sympathy for Halloween”, the second FPS (Fapworthy Photo Shoot).

Download (v0.1.1): MEGA | PIXELDRAIN | WORKUPLOAD

Tiffany Starlet is starring, in her first appearance in-game, among other additions that you'll be able to see working in real time.

It's the first game I've published that uses my cutscene sequencer, which is much lighter to process and gives a more fluid feel when you're choosing options.

It's also the first game I've released using the tts voice for a character.

I'm using the engine's new input system, so the game is partially gamepad compatible, but you still need the mouse to play.

I took the opportunity to change the photographer's controller using physics, which creates a risk of bugs, but allows you to walk freely around the studio without crossing objects on the set. You can also change the focus by clicking on the girl's face, breasts or hips.

The controls are the same as in the last FPS, except that I changed the movement to the WASD buttons. You can adjust the camera's tilt by holding the right button, and control the zoom by scrolling the middle button.

You need to take a photo in each pose to progress, but the photo itself isn't important this time, it's the dialogue. If Tiffany likes your answer, you get a heart. If you choose the wrong answer, the heart breaks. Ending the photo session with five hearts is the requirement for a happy ending.

Nobody knows what pleases or displeases the girl, so it's a guessing game or a memory game if you want to repeat the game until you get the answers right. I suggest you do it. 😜

This game is also the milestone where I stop focusing on system development and start focusing on content, but I intend to explain that in one of those pedantic technical posts.

I hope you enjoy this game. I liked it a lot. Impressions, criticisms, suggestions, bug reports... are as always very welcome.

Thank you very much for your support and for helping me take this step further.

See you later!

Hello, thank you! I'm glad you liked it. I have a few good voices available and that is one of the best. I thought about using it for Nicole, but she sounds too much like a villain, and Nicole is more of a romantic heroine. For Tiffany, this voice is perfect and helps to compose the character. I could easily have corrected that “hello” detail, it was more a question of me being focused on other things. Some details do slip through the cracks. I liked that you noticed the lighting, I had problems creating dark scenes with dispersed lighting, which I needed to solve since many scenes in S4H take place at night. I spent a long time setting it up until I got this result. The importance of how the photo is taken is something that is present in the main game. Here I thought it might be too cryptic. But the idea of different dialogs depending on the photo is very good and can be implemented in future FPSs. To answer your question, I haven't given up on those mechanics. In fact, the Reaction system is present, it's what controls the close-ups and the focus. Only the “modules” are not activated, because I didn't think it would contribute to the scene. I thought the situation was more sexy than fun, which is quite different from having sex with Misty and Penny. For the same reason, I didn't add any lines or moans, just turned up the volume on the soundtrack. So it's a more subjective reason. The fact is that I really like these mechanics that I've created, but I don't think they should be present in every scene, not least because I don't want you to get sick of them. I appreciate your always welcome feedback and I'm very happy that you liked this mini-game. This is the job where all that time spent programming shows aesthetically, and if the audience likes it, it's a sign that the work was worthwhile.

Hello, Congratulations on the new mini game. You've done a great job. So after having done several tests and having explored all the dialogue possibilities and having scoured the studio from top to bottom, I didn't see any bugs! Congratulations. **Voice:** I think you chose the right voice, which doesn't sound too robotic. I find it much more fluid and clear than your test with Nicoles. I was afraid I'd get bored of it, but no, it's really nice and fun. **Gestures and mouvements :** As always, I like it. The only small flaw, which isn't really a flaw, is that when she says hello, her body language doesn't have enough time to follow, which feels strange. But it's no big deal, because the rest is just pleasant. Scenery and textures: Well then, I think you've really done a remarkable job. I've redone the first FPs and the Easter version with Penny and Misty and I think you've made progress. This progress is especially visible in the lighting, which really works wonders and highlights your style! **Music:** Nothing to say, I like the choice and it's quite logical. **Gameplay:** Here you've also got great improvements to the various controls and ways of moving around. I really like the idea of dialogues that influence what happens next. It makes the mini-game much more interesting. A word of advice: I think you also need to give a bit of importance to taking photos. In fact, this mini-game emphasizes this mechanic and should therefore have a certain stake in it. For example, if you don't take a photo correctly, it will affect the character's mood, and before continuing, you'll have to make up for it with a new dialogue choice. It can also have an impact on the ending and the characters' behavior. In short, Or set up a point and score system that can have an influence on the ending. I think it's a system that should be given more prominence, without becoming too invasive. ============================================= QUESTIONS: For the good ending I saw that you didn't implement your mechanism present in the mini games of Christmas, Valentine's Day and Easter with the mouse (I try not to spoil XD). Did you abandon the idea or just didn't want to put it in this mini game? I hope you'll continue to include it in your game, because it's a mechanism that's not very common in this type of game, and it also adds value. =========================================================== In any case, I'm not disappointed, and although I was expecting quality work, I'm even more surprised because it goes even further. I'm going to do some more tests to make sure there aren't any bugs that I didn't see during the 1h30 of testing to make the game buggy. Courage in this new stage, which takes the project to another level and will reveal even more great things from you !!!!!! Best regard :)

The Mega link was leading to Easter FPS, sorry about that one. I've fixed it.
