UI Implementations
Added 2024-05-24 21:28:25 +0000 UTCHi guys!
I'm feeling a bit exhausted at the moment I'm writing this, but I had planned to deliver the report today and I don't want to leave you too long without news.
I plan to later show you the implementations I've made to the interface with a video capture so you can see the game at work. For now, I'll list the ready interface items:
The title screen elements are ready, as is the system that triggers different screens randomly and releases new ones as you progress through the game.
Load and Save panels, now with 100 slots available, separated into 10 pages.
Extra content panel, with scenes and mini-games that you unlock with items collected during the game, with a drag-and-drop system to activate the item (it took some work but it's cool).
Achievements Panel, represented by "action figures" that you can view and rotate, which also unlock extra content.
Jukebox Panel, where you can listen to the game songs along with an animation featuring one of the girls, and a system for activating more songs as you progress through the game.
Game hud.
Dialog bar and speech options.
Hotspot menus.
Map.
Credits screen, which is the same as before but with a new system that makes it easier for me to add and remove content.
It's still to be done, and I plan to have it ready by the end of the month:
The character selection screen, which appears at the start of the game and between chapters
A second tab for the settings panel where the toggles for modifying the game will be located, such as the "VN mode".
More animations for the Jukebox, at the moment there's only one, which is Chloe's on the swing. It's more a question of having ideas, short looped animations are easy to make.
The map issues have been resolved, I just need to test it to make sure there are no performance problems. With that and the interface complete, everything will be ready to set up the game scenes.
With all that said, this month I wasn't able to make playable content available to you, but if all goes well, next month will be different.
Now I need to take a rest. Next week I'll post again showing you how things turned out.
hank you very much for your support. Have a great weekend!

Hi there! Sorry for taking so long to respond, this week has been very busy for me. It really is a pleasure to hear from you too. I love that you like the gallery and jukebox concepts, hopefully, they'll make things fun and engaging for everyone. That's a great point about the dance animation, but I need to work on music that fits the movements. I want to do some extra content involving dancing, it's something I think is fun to work on. Thanks for the suggestion, I can't wait to share it with you when it's done!

2024-05-30 15:54:15 +0000 UTCHello, it's always a pleasure to hear from you. We can see that you've been busy this month! You're right to take time out to rest. I like the idea of having several galleries to exhibit what you win. It showcases your work and, above all, rewards those who explore the world of art. The jukebox idea is very nice too. Have you also considered using the dance animation you used on Cloé to show the clothing and colision system? Don't worry, you've got nothing to play with. What you've done isn't nothing, and it's going to take some time. Can't wait to see the video! Kind regards
