2023-06-25 09:35:31 +0000 UTCOh c'mon, Boom. How're you gonna put us H-fans on blast like this? Now we'll never hear H-man's sounds of whimsy again. Jokes aside, I believe most if not all Scooby Doo series are stand alone. I recall being obsessed with the cancelled "13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo" as a kid, but I don't think there was much in the way of continuity between that and whichever series came before. So you guys can probably hop into whichever strikes your fancy, but I'm sure someone with more Scoob knowledge will have a better answer.

2023-06-23 05:16:57 +0000 UTCFunny you mentioned stoners and aliens, there's a British movie called Attack the Block where a group of kids/teens try to stop an alien invasion and the one to figure out the alien's weakness is a stoner. It's a good movie in my opinion, it even has a young John Boyega who played Finn in the recent Star Wars films.

2023-06-21 06:39:32 +0000 UTCKing Davis being rude as hell, I think this is all very fascinating! You should not have to apologize for taking the time to share info about something you love. I love to see people's unbridled passion for these sort of things! Scooby Doo was one of my biggest interests as a kid, can't say that persisted to now but I still have a deep appreciation. So this was a very nice read, thank you so much for sharing. <3

2023-06-21 03:52:30 +0000 UTCYou guys should do the Speed Racer live-action adaption, it was made by the same people that did The Matrix, and its one of the few genuinely good live-action adaptions!

2023-06-21 03:10:54 +0000 UTCI always liked Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School, but it's pretty ancient. IDK how it holds up. They did do a fun crossover in OK KO though! Made my old heart happy!

2023-06-20 22:24:51 +0000 UTCThe old shows are good but I'd only recommend reacting to Mystery Incorporated! It's the best series and it's own take a bit separate from the other canons.

2023-06-20 21:59:19 +0000 UTCI know you guys probably are aware of the original Scooby Doo series from the 70s, which these movies are a sort of sequel of (it being a few decades later and the characters being much older), but there's quite a few SD series out there. There's the original, the Scrappy Doo series (before the pop culture suddenly hated him), the Thirteen Ghosts of Scooby Doo (which include real haunts like these films), A Pup Named Scooby Doo, What's New, Shaggy and Scooby Doo Get a Clue (much more action/gadgetry than mystery), and Mystery Incorporated, one of the biggest heads of the franchise. There's lots of films as well, those these four are some of the only ones not connected to a main series or era. Many of the ones I saw, including Samurai Sword, Pirates Ahoy, Monster of Mexico, Legend of the Vampire, Aloha, and the Loch Ness Monster were all pretty good and self-contained, and were around the What's New times. Some of the bigger recent ones were inspired by these four; Abracadabra Doo, Camp Scare, Legend of the Phantosaur, Big Top, Stage Fright, Frankencreepy, Moon Monster Madness, and KISS, all had their own styles of animation and were on their own continuity wise, as well as spread across several years. Then of course there's the famous live action ones including Matthew Lillard, who producers thought were so good that he went on to voice Shaggy in nearly every proceeding animated Scooby Doo production. The *other* live action ones are meh, but they do star one of the girls from Lemonade Mouth.
